Nothing makes peace like mutually assured destruction.

The cuban missile crisis could have happened. Real easy!

You might be right, but, we have 8000 nuclear tipped missiles which can reach anyplace on earth, that might cause a little fear in North Korea.

It might but I doubt it would have any substantive effect. I would be afraid if I was the US. Because this little country could inflict some severe damage on the US. You need to read up on their capabilities.

North Korea seems to be led by men who would like to expand their tyranny as far as possible, it probably will not get better by just appeasing them.

LOL, thats what they probably think of the US. Seriously have you never thought of diplomacy? Old people die eventually. Different times bring different people to power. Think of the old USSR. What you need to do in NK is keep a cool head and win them over. This is definitely one for sweet talking! It might not do much for the rambo image but its the only way.

I think it's time old Gumby and the family pack their damn bags and move to mexico. Ta hell with this U.S. bulls**t!

I like the beer there anyway but am not sure if they have Greenbud over there........I think they only have "mexican". If that's the case, I may go to Canada although I don't think they have any decent beer there.

That sounds a little strange. The most powerful country in the world should be afraid of a little communist wannabe power.

I know they have a million man military and they are trying desperately to get an atomic arsenal. I think they have some short range missiles. They may have some biological or chemical wmd's.

But, we can match and raise them on anything they care to use, many times over.

    We should fear them? Not!

LOL, thats what they probably think of the US.

I really do not care what they think of us.

Who in their right mind would compare (favorably) a communist dictatorship to the U.S., or any other free world country? North Korea is a bankrupt communist country, like other failed communist countries. It wants the wealth of South Korea and has pressed for seizing the South for many years, it would be a catastrophic mistake to do anything other than stand up firmly against their aggression.

Seriously have you never thought of diplomacy?

I was a little young to remember well, but I believe FDR's administration was in diplomatic talks while Japan was moving aircraft carriers into position to attack Hawaii.

I remember Carter's diplomacy while Iran kept Americans hostage for 444 days.

I remember Clinton's diplomacy while Korea gained the nuclear capability they now have.

I remember Truman's diplomacy when he ordered the bomb to be dropped on Japan and gave Japan a definite number of hours to surrender, they didn't. He then ordered another bomb dropped and they decided it was advantageous for Japan to surrender, unconditionally.

I remember Reagan's diplomacy when he determined that a superior military was needed to break the back of the Soviet Union, it did.

I choose the later two examples of diplomacy.

This is definitely one for sweet talking!

    I think not.

It might not do much for the rambo image but its the only way.

I think that statement has been proven false over and over again throughout history.

How would you tackle the North Korean problem?

Would try to settle the problem/threat in a peaceful manner. If that did not work, I would use three Neutron weapons and destroy every living thing within the boarders of that country. Thus eliminating the threat and any future problems.

End of story and end of problems and this action would send a message to the rest of the world to leave the Americans alone. However, many, many times the United States asks for trouble by sticking their nose where it does not belong. so problems would/will continue to burden all Americans....................

What was that saying we used to say in the military? Oh, yes! Kill them all and let GOD sort them out!

No, I don't say it or believe it.......Not anymore anyhow. But then, there is the BORG threat! What shall be done?

When first I heard of this , I thought it a good idea to demand that if North Korea wants US aid they first admit they lost the Korean war and then accept the South Korean government as the ruling authority in the region . I think if there is one thing Bush has shown the world since he's been in office is that the US has a loose cannon in office and our economy is suffering so right now a war somewhere is deemed to be thought a good time to do so as I have heard many experts mention this . I don't know , what better way to get the drug riff raff off the street than with a draft .Kinda kill two birds with one stone .
