You can buy "success" nowadays on any platform - youtube subscribers, twitter followers, heck people even buy GitHub stars to make their software projects look more popular than they are.
Who imagines patreon has found some magical way to stop it, or even would if they could? What do they care if some saddo is buying their own followers to keep up a charade, because they still get a cut of it all ...

On the one hand he’s an egomaniac who would do anything to maintain the fiction of success.
On the other hand he is so tight with money it’s hard to imagine him spending anything on his business if he can avoid it.
So who knows? I think it’s possible but not likely.
The working assumption should be that there really are still shockingly high numbers of patrons who haven’t yet jumped ship, or who have joined while somehow remaining oblivious to LE’s behaviour.
His real trouble is that his videos are rubbish and he knows it and he hates doing them. Any reprieve on the patron front is more like extra time added to a chore he desperately wants to escape.

Somebody left a Youtube link to L.E. on his Facebook page , there is a Youtube documentary ? about the JW but it's all in German. It was post monday the 4 of sept. He didn't tweet about it .unless he didn't see it yet? Anyway usually he would have been all over this news, How things are change .He could be working on this now too , anyway will see...even weirder Mark O'Donnell is in the video and he didn't say anything about this on his twitter page also .Maybe because it's all in German ? anyway this is the link to the video if anybody speaks german

He’s finding that once people discover what he is all about, they are dropping support. Instead of getting cross about it and arguing as he used to, he’s just picking up shop andworking seldom worked territorypicking up new recruits with little knowledge of his background.As he himself stated, the internet is forever. Google his name and this thread, the info site, and the Wikitubia page that a certain bitch who might have posted here more than once was “gracious” enough to edit come up in the first page. That’s his long term problem, coupled with the short term problem that his videos aren’t that great anymore and the pay he is getting is not in sync with the actual quality of his work. Even if he gains 30 patrons by the end of the month, roughly an equal amount are exiting.

Was going to say the same, the bump maybe late renewer's. We know he bought You Tube subscribers, unsure about Twitter (but very possibly). It has crossed my mind that our "Patreoff" has gotten back to him and made his Lardship very cross😂so he's rustled up some long-suffering devotees to move from You tube to Patreon & buy a few £1 subs (or bought them himself) just to spite us😄

Yes I have noticed a lot of the breathlessly positive comments under his you tube videos are from people with non Anglosphere names, too. Even people with a good grasp of English don't always hear the nuance in conversation and as you say it is interesting that his British supporters tended to be the first one's to suss him out and drop him.

The video is absolutely worth watching, which is not about the faith of the JW, but about their finances and how the members are "begged" for money and donations in kind.
It was initiated by a German TV station and aired publicly on TV.
If I were Lloyd Evans, I would have made a video about it immediately.
