When I read about September 11 and the anniversary of the terrorist attacks, I always think something big is being planned again. Do you tend to worry about this stuff?

Considering that 2 computers containing top secret information were stolen by 2 men of middle-Eastern appearance from Sydney's Customs Office last Wednesday, I'm a little wary of what might happen from now on in Australia.

Nope. I wasnt' scared even when it was going on the first time. confused, angry, and ready to kill, maybe, and if there was ever a time when I could have lashed out unreasoningly at a certain ethnic group, it was September 11 until about the 20th, 2001.
But scared takes a certain - I don't know - mental state of being unwilling for things to change, and I think that I'm too bitter and hard after my dub experience to be afraid. I feel sad for those who suffer, I feel angry at those who cause the suffering, but fear for my own life is not something I'm particularly obsessed with. I mean, if I actually SEE the bomb, then maybe I'd be scared, but I refuse to operate out of a nameless fear - and that's why I never did anything because I was scared of Armageddon.

When I saw the NYC attack, I was fearful. I don't live my life afraid but I'm a little more uneasy than usual this month.

Nah.... It would be harder to pull something off on 9/11 because awareness that something might happen is heightened.
Something is less likely to happen on 9/11 because the terrorists know people are more aware.
But the terrorists know the people know the terrorists are less likely to act because it is more expected and awareness is heightened. So maybe something will happen!!

Of course, 'middle eastern' must mean Arab... no, surely no Israeli could do this ?!?!?

Until I read this thread, I didn't give it a second thought. Sure, I know it will be the two year mark, but I am not convinced that these terrorists really care about an anniversary.
