The outcry and the national attention are geared to things that are different. For example, millions die because of cancer and heart disease every year but AIDS fatalities are given, in some circles, more prominence. Does that mean AIDS is no big deal? Of course not. The threat of terrorism is very real, whether it comes this month or next year......To use numbers in saying that more people die from things other than terrorism, means what? Does it lessen the impact of all those affected by Sept.11???
Are You Afraid of Another Terrorist Attack This Month?

ignorance is strength
Never been afraid really, I mean if a bomb is going to go off under your car, there's nothing you can do about. At least theres not gun fights in the street. I watched a commercial and it said "September 11, 2001. Terrorists tried to change America forever. They succeeded." Just something to think about.

I think the amount of fear is measured by how much you were effected by the last terror attack.
If you knew someone, like I did, who lost someone in the towers that day....if you saw the look on his face when he realized that his close friend died such a horrible death leaving behind a wife and baby, watching the television in shock as the towers fell one after the other........if your family member was late going to work that day and coming up from the subway saw the towers on fire, and watched in disbelief as people fell or jumped one after another to their death on the pavement below.......
This kind of tragedy can not be measured by numbers, can not be compared with accidental deaths or disease. This is murder plain and simple, not an automobile accident.
