Does anybody think if they did teach this...... that the average, and even, smarter than average dub......could give a rats ass? How many dubs could even explain that in 1918 Jesus came to inpect his slave and found them "doing just so"...and entrusted them with all his belongings? This would be simple for them to get around as their history at that time sucked bad. They weren't worthy to watch my damn dog at that time! All it takes is some more scripture bending and they can say whatever the hell they want.

Doctrinal changes are not the big factor for diminishing dubs.....reality is.

Dubs will accept this because it'd melt their brains if they tried to reason it out. A good friend, recently out, told me that she never paid much attention to how the WTS came up w/ 1914. She said she'd just underline her wt when they studied that and hope someone would explain.

"New Light" and "Waiting on Jehovah" are cult standby's for accusing a doubter of lacking faith. But lacking faith in what, well the organization of course...

Their works (global preaching work, worldwide growth, etc) up until the point of the Great Tribulation will show that they have been faithful and discreet in caring for the lord's interests and worthy of "official" appointment before the end comes.

If that's the case, then who officially "revealed" that to the GB....and why?

Modifying the F&DS doctrine could also allow them to finally disavow the whole date and chronology thing, since it has proved to be useless and unstainable.

It is ridiculous to keep teaching that the kingdom was established in 1914 when so much time has passed since then, with no kingdom in sight.

It would also allow Witnesses to focus on serving God because it is the right thing to do, not because of a long-delayed Armageddon that is coming "soon".......

They have an opportunity to turn things around if they are wise enough to seize it.
