why not make it a sugar coma from indulging in 9 kinds of pies, cakes and other assorted sugary treats?!?!?!?!

Cuz those things don't go with beer.

Turkey and all the trimmings, Nos!!! How wonderful! Do yall have pecan, pumpkin and sweet potato pies and cakes and cranberry sauce and candied yams with toasted marshmallows & brwn sugar pecans on top and hot buttered rolls and mashed potatoes and corn on the cob and green bean casserole and Waldorf Salad and cornbread dressing w/giblet gravy and dirty rice and and deviled eggs .....and all that shtuff like we do down here?

We have most of what you mentioned, except I don't know what the hell a yam is. Sounds like me saying "yeah" when I'm drunk.

I don't think there's any difference, other than the day we celebrate it on. Did you think we stuff a beaver instead of a turkey? LOL!

I don't think I'll be going all out like that this year. I did it with my ex, in fact, I think I still have one of those thanxgivings on video somewhere. Lotsa food.

PS I think it's great holiday for families to get together and there isn't the pressure of big gift giving. Its a great pre-winter feast.

    Hey Sis,

You remember what happened to our sis R right ??? Our sis R tried it once and related her experience to me. We had a GOOD laugh over it. I sent her instructions and recipes for the future cooking endevors.

BIG TIP: If using a frozen Turkey THAW the sucker out a good 2 to 3 days ahead of time in the fridge. Um.. R did not do that. LaughingTomato

I know I would like to be there for T-day perhaps next year... I know this year we will have it with M's family and a few friends.

Oh, I'll have roasted Tink, um I mean turkey, mashed StinkPantz, uh I mean potatoes, some of my creamed corn dish, broccoli and geen beans w/bacon. For desert, some Aztec, um apple pie and wash that down with a big glass of mudslide. Oh and I gotta watch some football. Mix in some deer hunting the next day, and you have one fine holiday.

Going out in field service, of course. As you know, many householders are more receptive on holidays...blah blah blah

LOL, Beryl! Just watch yer backside if any of the HH's come to the door with a turkey baster in their hand and a wicked glint in their eyes....

Cuz those things don't go with beer.

LOL, Gumby! Prolly healthier for ya anyway....
