Here's a link to many other comments in WT publications that say women are inferior. https://www.jwfacts.com/watchtower/quotes/women-submission.php

There is no doubt about it there is a shortage of brothers willing to work for free. There were sisters doing mics and other things which highlighted the problem.
the new light came out about using younger brothers instead. Now you get 3 foot high boys doing mics and things instead of sisters

There are such high levels in the organised to accomplish our ministry book to be an exemplary publisher hardly any young people can reach those level levels
For a young and baptised Brother to do microphones and sound and operate the platform equipment he needs to be an exemplary unbaptised publisher. This means he has to study and watch himself comment regularly he has to be on the ministry every Saturday. He can’t have any will the association or watch any questionable entertainment?
The truth is very few young Brother will reach her and then the GB are moaning. They’re not many young people are getting baptised.
Well, of course the young brothers are not gonna be ready for baptism if the eldest don’t think he qualifies to do microphones and sound equipment that has to come before baptism
So they are shooting themselves in the foot if they don’t let their brothers do the microphones and sound equipment then the brothers are gonna say okay I’m not ready to get baptised and when you’ve missed your window once you go past your teenagers and get to 20 and you’re still not baptised there’s no way you get baptised at that stage you’ve missed it
So yeah, they are definitely running out of people to do stuff for free. Only a few of the gullible mugs are gonna be doing all that work for free and they are moaning. Why am I the only one?
Often this one brother who’s taking on far too many things and he says I’ve doing too many things on my own I need some help but all the other men in the congregation are not allowed to because the standards are so high and the body of elder just think we should take them off their privileges instead of encouraging them
They will soon find that all what is written in the organised accomplish our ministry book needs new light. They need to be more realistic and not expect too much. None of these young brothers can live up to that if it looks like somebody does almost certainly the leading a double life and they do have friends who are not witnesses they do watch TV shows and movies that the governing body would say I’m not suitable. They do listen to music that it’s not suitableand they’re not out on the ministry every Saturday and they’re not answering up every meeting.

Mikejw, not only younger boys, but unbaptized too. At least that's what I remember.

Man that must be humiliating to the adult males who regularly come. At least it would have been for me back in the day.

Sea Breeze, sounds like it's not your father's WT anymore 😳
Having read your story elsewhere, do you think that fourteen years old you would have been kicked out of today's JW congregation?

Where I’m from they will have to consolidate congregations again just to have enough people to handle microphones.
Two preteen boys handling microphones.
The Kingdom Hall had about 40 to 50 in attendance. The majority were 55 plus in age. This is a merge of two congregations 2 years ago with 100 publishers each!
Zoom killed the org.

My husband suggested the MS or elders could take a turn, oh no, they are too important to do such a lowly task (like washing feet). I was in one congregation, very small, some years ago and a sister did sound, accounts, and literature...only 1 elder and MS. That has now been forbidden, better an unbaptized boy.

Can you believe for parents to say" my son is handling mikes now" and see them on stage (kids) saying their goal was to serve at Bethel when finished school- it was such a blessing for one's kid to be active in the "truth". Now I look back and see the grift, the grooming, the BS that was so prevalent. Today we see those guys sitting in the audience, not reaching out for anything but just being there. Many of the kids from that time are out, parents have allowed others to take music, dancing, outside groups, soccer at school - so they can become accustomed to dealing with others outside the org. They are thriving but staying with it. That could be the lessening of hardline, just as beards and women wearing slacks have been allowed to do. Even buying a lotto ticket isn't a big deal that warrants a committee. In our family - 3 elders - stepped down, all kids out, Kids and grandkids. Today's elder making is a desperate move- most elders old or sick. No one stepping up. Congregations grow somewhat due to those in org moving in and out of areas. No real interest at doors.
