Are Jehovah's Witnesses REALLY Welcomed Here?

  Scooby --- > Now are doubting JWs welcome here? well thats a different subject altogether!!

  Well, having been here about 10 months now, I must admit that although I am still in the borg and a pro-JW, I have been treated very well.

  Many like myself that have invested many years in the troof (TM) and still have family and friends there don't necessarily want to throw all of that away as some here have done. Many of the people there ARE very wonderful people.

  There ARE those in the borg like myself , however, that view it as the nation of Israel in biblical times. There were the good kings and the bad kings. Contrast Solomon with Ahaz and you know what I mean. We feel today that re-direction is needed and that the micro-management of every detail in peoples' lives is not what Christianity is all about, in fact, it's what Jesus did away with, a detailed sets of Laws.

  I think by my posts and profile, many here see that even those of us with strong ties in the troof(TM) are not not mindless robots but working for much needed reform.

  Min, I have no problem, if anything I welcome them. We've talked about all their mistakes and errors, lack of love, unity and etc. Were in a position to help them understand our personal experiences and how each and every person is trying to cope with an abused life. It's no more different than the experiences we hear at the assemblies, just the reverse.

  Why should we blame them? Put the blame where the blame belongs. If others want to abusive, be my guest, in the long run your going to be the loser. We will never grow emotionally if we keep festering the rot in our system. I've come across many a hard S.O.B.'s and I refrain from judging them. What annoys me is when someone wants to control the board or thinks their the only person that has experienced hardships, and thier never wrong, yeah right. There's people out there and common sense dictates that we welcome them. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

  I am sure they do not have the courage to look into our web site,they do not mind to stay in the dark and be feed with a lot of bull....Any ones who stand up for them and tries to excuse them,are just like them ...........Even if some of the j.w dare to come is only curiosity, and I am sure the time they do that sort of rebelion, they may have nightmares. No, as far as I concerne, on my part they are not really welcome here,I hope this never happen,I give up preaching why doing it again.???????????

  I'm thankful to the people who were patient with me when I was leaving the WT. They didnt know I was leaving and I defended JWs silly beliefs with all that I had. Any JW naturally thinks they have the truth and will argue accordingly, everyone here (not just JWs) argues for what they believe, why should we expect them to be different? Its the little things that sink in and take root during the arguments that make them think it through.

  I welcome all JWs, the ones who know what they believe and argue the hardest are usually the ones who leave the WT. On the other hand, the JW apologist who doesnt argue a point, doesnt think it through and only posts saying how loving the org is makes me want to puke, but I'd still show them a certain amount of hospitality as long as they can take my sarcasm.

  Arancia: I find your stance a hard one. I will elaborate if you would please indulge me.

  My family is split into 2 camps. The boys are out; the girls are in. To bring light to the deceived is a very hard and often psychologically exhausting task. The husbands of my two oldest girls are good people. If they would ever come to a site like this I would like them to be treated with respect. I would like to welcome them with open arms and not to be chased away just because they state their beliefs. As long as the JW that comes here treats another with respect, then in my opinion we should do the same.

  Good discussions I say, but who am I? are in my opinion very welcome. We can all learn from good discussions.
  This does not mean you have to agree on every point. Like the question I asked Scoob. That is an honest question.
  I hope he takes the time to elaborate.

  I was an active JW elder when I first posted here, and I was made to feel very welcome by you all.

  Yes I had doubts about the "troof", but it still took time to fully start to break the ties.

  It seems as though the JW's that come here with a pro-WT view have a self-righteous attitude. If they come here looking for information or to sincerely hear our opinions and experiences, they have been welcomed.

  Sure jw's are welcome here. With limits in discussing religious matters, I won't. There are plenty of others who are available to discuss the issues on this site.

  I am here to be with others how they move on in healing and living life.
