  It's funny, I went to this gathering on Sunday, and for the most part, people were very happy to see me. I am probably pushing my luck, as one of the elders, actually a very good guy, said, "we need to talk soon". He alluded knowingly to some changes the CO had just made, as if, "your right to have been discouraged, but it will be better now". Of course, the CO just "had" to make the changes cuz the hours were so low.

  In a wierd way, the fact that the congregation at large realizes that our congo has been in a major slump, and is just basically a downer, may have made it much easier for me to fade away. Of course, my happy demeanor at witness parties is pushing my luck. But what can I say? Freedom puts a smile on your face!

  Any door-to-door nitwit who stops to chat up my little ones will find him/herself explaining their reasons to the local cops. I'll let them decide if I can press charges or not. I guarantee the religiofreaks won't get away with it unchallenged.

  We had a 'sweet little old lady' in our neighborhood in TX who would not quit stopping to chat up little kids. She was considered 'mostly harmless' but when parents complained to the authorities, the cops told her point black to knock it off. She once tried to get my kids to get in her car to go play with her new puppy. She offered kids a quarter if they could remember her name. She always claimed she just loved kids and would never hurt one.

  She was finally arrested for slapping a little boy who ran up to her in the grocery store shouting her name...so much for her sweet love...

  Here in Smallville we've had a dozen stranger assaults on kids, at the parks, at the high school pool, at the movie houses, in a grocery store, in the six years I've lived here. My son knows not to talk to strangers, and it's not paranoia that led to that, it's real life.

  By and large, children are terrified of the Jaydub 'good news'. They deserve to be protected from it at all costs. Those women deserve whatever scorn, embarrassment, rage gets heaped on their idiot heads.

  Said the asshole! If you, or any other asshole had poped up trying to fill my childrens head with such crap, I can promise you your rear end would be useless for sitting the next 6 weeks.

  Also, I would be happy to pay the fine of seeing to you having to visit the dentist for a majour job!

I'd be quite willing to bet, that as long as the j-dub is bigger than you, or just not intimidated by you, you would take your bluster elsewhere, perhaps into a late night chat with MommieDark, and the j-dub would be on their way, teeth in mouth and ass in fine shape.

  Geez, I'm beginning to think the WTB&TS is right! 'cuz this is smelling more and more like vomit.

  Just a quick thought!

  How would a JW parent feel if their 3 yr.old and 8 yr.old were approached in their own yard, by a Moonie, Hari Krishna or follower of David Koresh or Jim Jones and given pamphlets or whatever? [>:(]

  I 'm sure most typical parents would react like she-bears with claws out ready to protect their young from "evil".

  I wonder too why the JW's didn't go on past the children to talk to the adult(s) in the house. Wouldn't that have been "more productive" service-wise? Easy way out or what?

  you took the words right out of my mouth or maybe you just type faster than me.
  But to go one step further yes the JW's do like an easy target or maybe just an easy way to count hours because they even hold studies
  with people in mental health institutions.
  I suppose to be charitable the average dub doesnt really know what the org is about and truly believes that they are peddling the 'truth'.
  I know I did.
  But I would never witness to a minor and even stopped those I was working with doing this on occasion, I reasoned that I wouldnt want anyone doing it to my children so why do it to theirs.
