    Six:

Geez, I'm beginning to thing the WTB&TS is right! 'cuz this is smelling more and more like vomit.

"Spiritual food" is like good cherry pie. It can taste great going down, and taste terrible on it's way back up. (Especially if you had bad cherries).

I thought we finished the cherry discussion a long time ago.

I agree with what jezebel influence said - if this woman is so concerned about her children's safety, why did she allow her children's full names, location and photos to be published? Where's her pic, hmm?

I really think she is over-reacting. Nothing happened, as SixofNine said, it is a good opportunity for her to educate her children on stranger-danger, and children are SAFE!

Question for those have replied with righteous indignation on this thread : Are you all saying that you NEVER spoke to a child about the "good news" while in field service? You NEVER left a tract or magazine with one, if their parent wasn't there?

I think sometimes we get so filled up with hate/bitterness/condemnation for the WTS, that we forget what we were like as Witnesses ourselves. And the average Witness around today isn't that much different to we ourselves as people. The main difference is, we are out, while they are still in. Think about it.

Clowns are harmless too..remember John Wayne Gacie?

This is the organization that HARBORS PEDIPHILES...there is no such thing as a HARMLESS organization of human beings. How many of these HARMLESS human beings have hurt their kids? Other peoples kids? How many are lurking inside just WAITING for the opportunity to come back to that door where that little one just told them they were "all alone and Mommy and Daddy wont be home for awhile."

you ask, "Are you all saying that you NEVER spoke to a child about the "good news" while in field service? You NEVER left a tract or magazine with one, if their parent wasn't there?"

yes, I NEVER spoke to a child who was alone in the yard playing, about the 'good news' or any other frickin thing. It's incredibly STUPID and THOUGHTLESS to talk to little kids like that. And no, I never left a tract or magazine with one, either. I never viewed little kids as potential recruits. I think it's disgusting that anyone does.

We're NOT talking about these bitches knocking on a door and talking to a kid who opened the door. These children were in their fenced yard playing and these idiot dubettes approached them, knowing full well what they were doing. They should have asked to talk to an adult or just plain moved along without speaking beyond a pleasant 'hello' if the kid made eye contact. It's that cult arrogance that makes these morons think they are somehow immune to the rules of decent conduct.

Anyone with even a smidgen of brain should know enough to leave little kids alone. Especially people who are allegedly so concerned with making a good impression in the world.

Anyone, JW or not, who is so out of touch that they think it's ok to preach at babies, deserves whatever they get by way of hate and scorn. I was never that stupid and I don't condone that sort of stupidity in others. The fact is, those women just didn't bother to THINK at all. I hope this haunts them wherever they turn up preaching. Too bad the papers didn't make the dubbies' names and addies public too!

    Fred,

you are a such a dumbfuck. Excuse my Hungarian here, but you've got to be the most brain-dead person I've ever met on the net, or anywhere else for that matter. What a dickhead you are. Jesus talked to children WHILE ADULTS WERE AROUND, DUMBASS!

I have to agree with Mommie Dark. It was pretty stupid for two grown, mature women, ( or men ), to try to "witness" to very young children. I would not do it when I used to go out in field service. Makes you wonder the type of mindset that can fly past basic common sense like that. I don't ever remember reading where Jesus "instructed" the little children in the Bible. I think JW's witness to children because it might seem right to them but they don't have anybody to tell them that it's wrong. Pity.

I concur with MD, I never talked to children while preaching WTS cult crap.

    Kent,

I for one would gladly do as you proposed. Send me the dental and the doctor bill! All of my friends and neighbors are well aware of the lengths I'll go to protect my kids and my neighbors kids.

Some sick bastard tried to lure my oldest daughter off of the front porch when she was just two. My wife came out just in time to see the loser offer my daughter a piece of candy from his car window. He then sped off. My wife was so disturbed, that she didn't get the license number on the car. When she told me about it after I got home from work, I was livid. I was mad at my wife for days because she failed to get any kind of i.d.

Yes indeed, I'll spend time in jail to protect my kids.

Anglise, you said "But I would never witness to a minor and even stopped those I was working with doing this on occasion, I reasoned that I wouldnt want anyone doing it to my children so why do it to theirs." I agree with you. That is how I felt. I wouldn't witness to teenagers, even, without their parents permission, even while I was pioneering.

Mommie Dark, your said "We're NOT talking about these bitches knocking on a door and talking to a kid who opened the door. These children were in their fenced yard playing and these idiot dubettes approached them, knowing full well what they were doing. They should have asked to talk to an adult or just plain moved along without speaking beyond a pleasant 'hello' if the kid made eye contact." While I don't necessarily agree with your description of them, you are so right when you say they should have asked to talk to an adult.

Prisca you said "I think sometimes we get so filled up with hate/bitterness/condemnation for the WTS, that we forget what we were like as Witnesses ourselves." It is not hate/bitterness/condemnation for the WTS, just plain commonsense, as LovesDubs said in her post.

I'm still a bit lost about the world you live in where it is "stupid and thoughtless" to talk to little kids?

Inner city? nope, not "thoughtless or stupid"

Suburb? nope, not "thoughtless or stupid".

    Frankly, just human.

    Where?

And TR, we aren't talking about protecting our kids here. We are talking about what most people find a minor anoyance. Us ex-jw's may find it a major anoyance, but that is about it.

For all of Luvs dubs inference, while we all know the problems the structure of the organization has with regards to pedophilia, I haven't heard of a single case involving witnessing. The reason for that of course is that the vast majority of pedophiles prey on people they know.
