I agree with your comments, we really don't know a person unless we meet them in person. The same goes the other way. You cannot make a judgement call on someone by reading a few posts. You may think they are a great person and caring etc. but after meeting them you find out they are not who they say they are. Believe me I have learned this lesson the hard way.

    Scoob,

Don't misunderstand me....I'm not saying that one should never show another poster's faulty logic or emotional waywardness. I just don't think extreme ad hominem attacks are worthwhile.

I know you are thinking of how I have treated you. Granted, I may have erred a couple times. All the same, I don't believe I ever engaged in a truly vicious personal attack. I still don't respect your line of reasoning and think you add virtually nothing in terms of genuine discussion about the JWs etc. In fact, you seem hell bent on avoiding the topic and engage in obfuscation, fillibustering and emotionalized rhetoric. Sorry bud.

    Scoob,

All the same, that is not a judgement on you as a person. It's just your reasoning that sucks. Unlike the JWs and other fundamentalists, I feel you have intrinsic worth and do not condemn your freedom to live a life that is not harming anyone. Not yourself, not anyone else, and most certainly not God!
