boy and his dad that were out hunting. The father says, "It's 5 o'clock and mom has supper waiting for us now. We have to go home and run or else we'll be late." The boy doesn't quite run fast enough until he sees a large animal running after him. Then he actually speeds pasts his dad!....

All the comments so far are so insightful........obviously, this is an Xjw gathering. One point, however, it's not the CO who's the large animal chasing the two........it's the Wild Beast - the WTBTS.

The moral of the story is, even if we don't believe we can run in our race to serve Jehovah and endure, if we REALLY wanted to, we could.....

same ol same ol. Do more, work harder, give more money, more time, more effort. JW's never are given the biblical compliment "Well done."

Wasn't it the Evil Slave who "beat" his fellow slaves?

That poor kid is probably gonna trip and fall while running so fast and he forgot to put the safety on and his gun is loaded and so when he falls he shoots himself in the head and ends up...dead. Pushing people to do "MORE" is just killing them off slowly but surely. A typical CO illustration. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Cathy L.

All you hear is how Witnesses need to "do more" and not condition themselves to believe that they can't. It's funny that the counsel is that there's no excuse to not do more. If we are motivated properly, we will do more....Incidentally, my mother doesn't like this CO and told me that after 40 years, she wants to stop pioneering.

Watchtower :The Circuit Overseer Says: "Just do More"

Jesus Christ: Matthew 11:28,29,30 :" Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU. 29:" Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls.30:" For my yoke is kindly and my load is light."

My mother just told me that the CO also said that if a person marries out of the Lord, they may not get disfellowshipped right now but when Armageddon comes, God will judge them as being dead.

My mom always thinks the CO is the best thing since sliced bread. No matter what he told her, she'd think it was a 'MUST DO"

And when were you supposed to relax and ENJOY anything that God made? Since you had meetings on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday; Saturday is for service and then Monday (following the good example of Bethel) was supposed to be family study night; other nights were to be used for Personal Study, studying for meetings or studying with a BS.

If you took the holiday weekend off and went out of town, then the hall was 1/2 empty and there was a local needs talk about using your holiday to Jehovah's glory and going out in the ministry.

If you went on vacation, you were counseled that we did not take vacation from the truth. The best vacations were ones that revolved around service to Jehovah. Go were the territory was Seldom Worked, help another congregation. Go to International Conventions and meet the brothers abroad (if you qualify for this). Use your vacation days to be an auxilliary pioneer in the month of Memorial.

Heck, you see the covers of the Awake magazine and all the things that are pictured about fishing, relaxing, picnicing are just not something the average witness can afford to do timewise without getting counseled. I know plenty of people that would travel and the elders at home would ask if they attended any meeting while on vacation or business trips!

How can you expect children to WANT to be JW's when all they know is a life of service and studying; a life that is so different from the happy-go-lucky kids around them.
