Torn in two I wish I had recorded it. It would have been scandalous like their damn video of Caleb and Sophia and Noah. To hear him use the bear thing was unreal. Like that is a scripture generally (these days) I would think witnesses would like to pretend doesn't exist. And he used it to threaten children.

That video clip of the kid baptism thing is so so .....I can't find the word to express my revulsion. The parents are to blame if they are such suckers they fall for this and don't let their kids be kids. Let them at least have a carefree childhood to grow and explore. Plenty of time in adulthood to make meaningful decisions.

I heard some say that once the child is knowledgeable he is ready for baptism. When Jesus was 12 he could out debate the priests. But he still didn't get baptized till he was 30.

...and he also had a beard

Parents need to remember that the buck stops with them where their children are concerned. While what the CO or elders say or what is in the publications from the governing body is interesting and might be helpful, they are suggestions. Why? Because parents are accountable for how their children turn out. So for those of you who are parents and are still in the organization, do not let a loud-mouthed, overbearing, self-righteous elder or CO convince you to do something that you believe would ultimately be bad for your child. Have the guts to stand up and say "In my house, this is how we do it." While you may not be a favorite or get a lot of privileges because of this attitude, remember that none of these people will help you when your children grow up mentally damaged or broken and unable to function fully as adults because of crazy activities during childhood or adolescence.

A parent who says, "I forbid my child to be baptized; they can decide when they reach adulthood" is a bad JW but an excellent parent.

steve2 I have seen elders sneak the child out to a convention and get them baptized, especially when one parent is not a jw.

Expecting small children to think/feel/act/talk all Jehovahery at the KH and in ministry and around other witnesses and then do things the parent's way at home is NOT the answer. In my opinion that would only succeed in producing very mixed up, confused, damaged adults.

The the only reponsible action to take against WT propoganda and indorctrination is to not expose your child to it.

In other words stop taking them to meetings.

No sane person would expose their child to white supremacist meetings and excuse it by telling the child in private

"That's not how we do things in this family son, regardless of the meetings we attend"

    That's just madness!!
