Slimboy was that an addition 30 million above the normal amount for those two months or was that the total revived??

Yes, as I understand it there was an additional $30 million, or a 15% increase in donations for June and July 2015 as a result of Lett’s appeal. Hence the (very rough) calculation that WT collects around $100 million dollar per month in donations. Which makes WT receipts of donations roughly comparable with Seventh Day Adventists as listed in their annual report. ($178 per member for the year)

I’m surprised they can get 100 million per year from the rank and file.

That’s $100 million per month, or $1.2 billion per year. Very roughly.
Compared with $3.2 billion that Seventh Day Adventists collect from tithes and offerings, but with more than double the membership of JWs. (Over 20 million)

How are you estimating that?

@vander- your not allowed to point those things out. They dont fit slims narrative.

Lett says donations were up 15% for two months June and July as a result of the appeal.
The leaked video says an extra $30 million was collected as a result of the appeal.
$30 million divided by 2 is $15 million per month
If an increase of $15 million in one month is described as an increased of 15% then the usual income for the month is $100 million.
This is a very rough estimate for lots of reasons:
Are June and July typical months?
Did some of the extra money arrive in May and August and not just June and July?
How much are the figures rounded up?
Income from legacies and other sources included or not?
So it’s a very rough estimate. But it’s better than nothing. And interestingly it corresponds quite well with the Seventh Day Adventist numbers which are fully transparent.
