it is very easier to disprove the clams by Indoubtbigtime against the 1969 moon landing being real. That includes the comments about "animations" since the animations are not of what Indoubtbigtime implies they were. I already real about animations weeks ago. See the following Apollo 11 moon landing on TV: Blurry but inspiring images viewed by millions – Orlando Sentinel . It says in part the following.

'Cronkite let out a “whew,” took off his glasses and rubbed his hands in delight, reflecting the global jubilation at the feat. Astronaut Wally Schirra, seated next to Cronkite, wiped away a tear. But they were reacting to Apollo 11 audio while CBS showed a simulation of the lunar module on the moon.

TV coverage of the first moon landing in 1969 relied heavily on fabricated images. “People saw the networks re-creating on a sound stage what was going on,” said Robert Stone, director-writer of PBS’ “Chasing the Moon.” “They had actors dressed up in spacesuits. They had animation. It wasn’t until they landed and the video camera was pulled out that we saw anything. Before that, it was a radio show with enactments.

When Neil Armstrong stepped on the lunar surface, television relayed primitive visuals. “Look at those pictures. Wow. It’s a little shadowy,” Cronkite said.

They were very crude, blurry, fuzzy, black-and-white images, very low tech,” Stone said.

What I say while a very young child were the blurry black and white image of the the astronauts stepping out of the lander onto the moon and walking upon the moon. That agrees with the above quote.

The landing animations were crude, even for the time. --Not even on par with Fireball XL5 and other children's shows

Here is the May 17, 2000 interview with Conan O'Brien where Aldrin mentioned them:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYPgU2Ge4Vw

    Here is the relevant exchange:

O’Brien: “Let’s talk about this because this is fascinating. I remember very clearly; I think anybody who was alive at the time does. I remember my parents waking me up and we went down, and we watched you guys land on the moon.”

Aldrin: “No, you didn’t. Because there wasn’t any television, there wasn’t anybody taking the picture. You watched animation so you associated what you saw with… you heard me talking about, you know, how many feet we’re going to the left and right and then I said contact light, engine stopped, a few other things and then Neil said ‘Houston, tranquility base. The Eagle has landed.’ How about that? Not a bad line.”

    ----------

There was no possible way to film the landing of the Eagle, as the cameras were securely stored inside it at the time of the landing.

O'Brien (who was six years old at the time) either misspoke or mistook whatever animation he saw for reality. Either way, Aldrin responded humorously, but accurately.

Despite whether or not Aldrin said what was quoted in the post made by TD, there was actual NASA footage (if not of the landing taking place) there was of an astronaut Armstrong taking the final steps off the lander. For proof see this video at Apollo 11 Moonwalk 20 July 1969 - restored footage - YouTube

[ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJbtYs0oZfQ ] . Perhaps Aldrins memory of regarding whether or not this was television broadcast of that was faulty. In it you can see the astronaut taking his final steps off the lander. You can also see two astronauts moving around on the moon. An introduction to the video explains why the image quality is so poor.

See also Moon landing footage: Watch the historic Apollo 11 mission moments | CNN [https://www.cnn.com/videos/us/2019/07/18/apollo-11-moon-landing-scn-orig.cnn ] . It shows some footage of the spaceship approaching the moon (it looks like was recorded from within the spaceship, but maybe the camera was attached to the outside of the spaceship). Perhaps that video footage was not included in the live broadcast, but instead shown later.

Update: Thanks TD for your later post (including your clarification), namely the post in which you wrote "How we saw Aldrin's first steps ....". The article you linked to says something which gives the explanation to what had been puzzling me for some time (about why the images looked ghostly when action was taking place). It says the following. "The distance the signal needed to travel, the conversions and retransmissions required to reach televisions in homes, meant a reduction in the quality of the picture, resulting in reduced resolution and a mismatch in the signal layers. That is why sometimes the astronauts appear more like translucent ghosts than people."

The video at cbs news coverage of 1969 moon mission - Google Search [https://www.google.com/search?q=cbs+news+coverage+of+1969+moon+mission&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjq0uu92Ob8AhUCBzQIHZPwCbEQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA&biw=1233&bih=913&dpr=1#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:aa525629,vid:eoy8IWjwb1k ] has video footage from CBS. In it there are sections which contain animations and simulations - and in multiple places the video has the word "ANIMATION" or "SIMULATION", thus the broadcast was not being deceptive abut such. Even without the words "ANIMATION" and "SIMULATION" one can often tell it is an animation or simulation, such as when the simulated lander is shown from outside the simulated lander (and from a distance) to be landing on the moon. In at least one place (after Armstrong said "The Eagle has landed") in the video even shows the text of "CBS NEWS SIMULATION" (at about the 6:42 time mark). That indicates that CBS was being honest in the use of the animations and simulations.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you weren't alive at the time and don't remember the animations (?)

Yes I’m too young to remember the animations live but we can all see them now and 😂

by final steps do you mean first steps? The so called one small step for man steps were filmed by a camera already on the moon?

so many holes in the official stories and you wonder why the witnesses get so many people to believe nonsense 🤣

The MESA, which was a small storage compartment lowered from descent stage of the module after landing had an integral bracket where the camera was fixed during flight. (MESA = Modular Equipment Stowage Assembly)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfE2QwkFKi8

Aldrin lowered the MESA and activated the camera before Armstrong disembarked. That's way the actual recording is at such a goofy angle.
