We've been robbed

It sure taught us a lesson. We don't always lock the front, door when we are just going out briefly. If someone is watching the house, and gets to know our patterns, they might try to come inside. I am locking it everytime from now on.

I don't understand the garbage can thefts either. Ours was an old one, supplied by the garbage collection service, and needed to be replaced. They took the can before the garbage pickup too. We didn't realize that until the truck came up the street later. We thought they had recognized the can needed to be replaced and were going to do that, so just took the whole thing. It might have been an attempt at identity theft, but it was the garbage can, not the recycle bin, which wasn't out that week. That one has the throw away mail in it, not the one with all the kitchen food garbage. We chuckled over that, if that was their motive.

I'm so sorry, Mulan! But it could have been a lot worse than it was, so I think you're really smart to take it as a warning and beef up security around the house.

    Love,

I've had a garbage can stolen before. I bought it at Wal-Mart for not more than $15. The cheap bastards can have it.

Last winter somebody stole a shovel, hedge clippers, and rake from my dads shed. The riding lawnmower and 4-wheeler were chained up. I'm sure they would have tried to take those as well.
