It does feel like an enormous sea change at this AGM 2023. The two new members of the GB and losing Fat Tony.

It feels like the GB are getting us ready for some big changes. Jeff Winder said the GB are not inspired and not infallible. He said when they get things wrong there is no need to apologise.

My guess is a big change about 1914. It is inevitable at some stage as we get further away from 1914 they have to admit they were wrong, and they may be putting it off but at some point they will have to admit again they were wrong.

I also guess a big change about disfellowshipping and shunning. Especially now they are losing charitable status in some places and if they drop that then they can get money off tax and keep getting handouts from governments.

What about all those who have been kicked out and shunned for voicing their opinions about the GB not being inspired and being wrong about things? Jeff is now saying these ones were right.

I know one brother who went through a really hard time for voicing his opinions about the direction to keep taking these vaccines to remain fully vaccinated. He was marked for saying the GB were not inspired and that the direction was wrong.

Now Jeff Winder is saying the same thing. He said the GB have been wrong about some doctrinal matters and organisational direction. Yes Jeff you were wrong to give direction to keep taking these shots. But until you do a U turn on the official direction then rank and file are going to keep taking them to remain fully vaccinated.

All those who were kicked out for saying what Jeff just said should have a big sincere apology!

I know one old couple who really don’t not want to keep taking these boosters because they know it’s making them more and more unwell. But until the GB do a U turn on the direction then the rank and file have been told to follow direction even if they disagree with it.

    Priceless.

I think I'll shag my way around the whole kingdom hall. At the judicial when they ask if I'm repentant I'll say: "As Jeff Winder said brothers, there is no need to apologise..."

    I don't get it.

Many of you have described the governing body as cold and robotic and out of touch.

But yet user Jw gone bad criticizes the Annual meeting because they put humor in there and laughed with the audience.

There is no pleasing any of you. Whatever they do, you won't like it.

I would like it if they'd apologize and stop reproaching Jehovah and hurting people by their antichrist teachings and false doctrines. That'd be nice.

Yep, nothing personal, but I don't like anything they say or do - self aggrandising bastards all of 'em..

    Several observations

They already are saying " about" 1914

The joking is insider knowledge of how gullible people are

No way will they soften their DF stance

Yes I remember the change when the Watchtower changed the 1914 doctrine last year, they actually said around 1914. Will they slowly bring it forward as we get further away from 1914?

but 1914 is pivotal to so much. If they actually said about 1914

The GB are simply evil narcissists. Any one who suggests that there is nothing special about them are just "The Enemy". And you don't apologise to "The Enemy" after you've destroyed their lives, even if your new rules change so that they were the ones who were right all along. They truly are despicable.

I'm not really into narcissist theory, I just think some people want to be worshipped, but I do agree with what you are saying as regards the GB being yucky, @NotFormer. They train their helpers to be the same way.

There were two new morning worship videos that came out today. The Joel Dellinger one wasn't too bad, only slightly vomitous. I mean, he misapplied some things (like saying the anointed will be installed when they are all sealed, which isn't true, they aren't installed until later) and a lot of blah blah blah about numbers and branch reports, a knee bend to the "faithful slave" idol - but overall, it wasn't as painful to listen to compared to the other morning worship video.

Harold Corkern has a Mr. Rogers-like presence, but then he stabs you in the stomach. The title is "Imitate God by Valuing Others and Their Work". I don't know how he can even give that talk without choking. How many humans does he ignore and shun and crush because of the antichrist disfellowshipping doctrine? What a hypocrite!

When there is a rough-edged grumpy elder who is mean to you, I think it's easier to deal with than the ones that pretend to be all super-holy and kind and gentle but then backstab or totally ignore you like you're worse than the scum on the bottom of a moldy shoe lost in the gutter. Those guys don't represent Jehovah at all. They're nasty.

Russell set the pattern for them. He pretended to be all holy, but then he treated his wife horribly. Jehovah saw it, and He sees all the naughty stuff these other WTBT$/GB/FD$ guys do and condone. They're not fooling God, and He's going to make an accounting.

    "They truly are despicable."
