Oh Come On Tina,
You slander the memory of Christians, millions of them that have given their very lives for others. You slander soldiers in wars against Facism and Communism, you slander pastors, priest, nuns, laypeople, nurses and the list goes on. You ignore the Salvation Army, the "YM/WCA", the thousands of church supported hospitals, soup kitchens, relief missions, food distribution in famine lands, disaster relief and the old widow who puts change in the plate for the use of others.
I grieve for you, Tina. You have decided your own fate without even considering the options available. I noticed that you did not even attempt to address the legitimate definition of Christianity. Perhaps you are still steeped in your own dogma: If JWs are wrong then NO ONE is right. I liked the way old "1" said it, "If my momma is a hoe then ALL mommas are hoes!"
You have convinced yourself that you have no need for God. Yet worship is a fact of human nature. It is a part of us, the need to find God. You have simply switched God for some idolatry like materialism or rationalism.
You decry the existence of God yet you ignore the monsterous choices of depraved humanity...and blame them on God also. What arrogance!
For the record: Christianity is NOT any human led organization. It is not the medevial catholic church, it is not any church. Churches can and do exist for fellowship and common endeavors. The overall track record for Christan churches is exemplary regarding hospitals, charity, poverty and hunger relief and only the intentionally stupid deny this while highlighting the narrowmindedness and occasional wickedness of those who claim authority.
It's the same as if you villified every good JW for the actions of the Society. Shame on you. do you treat your Christian acquaintances the same as you do here?

I have many christian friends. They treat me very well as I treat them. They UNLIKE YOU,do not call me stupid,narrowminded,wicked. They do not judge me as you have. They do not sit on a moral high horse as you do. They UNLIKE you are good people,humble,and confident enough in their own belief not to preach at me. UNLIKE you. They do not condemn me .UNLIKE you.They would be horrified to see posts that you write in the name of christianity.
And like it or not christianity is organized and led by men.

I dont deny christian organizations have done a bit of good.(historically they did this to convert the 'savages',didnt they? and what happened to their peoples and cultures who wouldnt submit?) Volunteerism can be found among folks like judaism,and other non-christian denominations.

Interesting, Tina, how "Rex" (the former WW/Worldly Witness from H2O) continues to show how braindead a person can be when he jumps from the JW Frying Pan into the Fundy Fire. As Jim Penton says, JWs and Fundies are pups from the same bitch. WW/Rex keeps demonstrating why Fundies are dangerous to world security because of their complete lack of reasoning powers. Imagine a world run by WW. Burning at the stake would make a big comeback. They'd be right there in league with the JW Governing Body organizing stonings of apostates.

Rex, you are making excellent points. Tina is just confused and needs help. I understand her mental disposition after reading her material. She is going through a rough transformation and it is not uncommon for someone to leave one group bitter and hostile, only to view all other groups the same way. Ultimately, she is forced to link the group she left with God and various elements of religious thought, to help preserve a sane mental state. (The reason being that thoughts of consequences, etc., can be almost unbearable for many.)
I am sure there is more to her presently complex psyche, but I think the more we try to reason with her and others like her it will either help restore some balance to her or push her over the edge. The choice is hers.
As for ianao, this one is a clear example of someone suffering from a tortured mindset. That is why ianao can only reaffirm what others say for him. His thought process is shattered from past experience and there is a certain fear in venturing too far out on your own. It is much safer to just repeat and reaffirm what someone else says. That is why we get the "well said," and "again, well said" replies.

ook at what you are saying here, and think about it. You are calling God evil, because He takes due vengeance out on those who reject Him, just as He will in the end times.
I know this might be a little off the beaten path (and it probably sounds a little rude, for which I apologize), but I have to ask.When I read things like this, all that I can see is fear, insecurity, and some serious psychological issues on the part of this vengeful God. He sounds very mean and scary, and I'd rather not get anywhere near him.
I don't go around killing people just because they made me mad. My parents didn't torture and murder me, no matter how many times I didn't clean my room, or even when I kinda-sorta started a small kitchen fire when I was little. They found other ways to get their point across. And in the case of this deity, all he'd have to do is show up to make people believe in him. Why can't he just do that instead of resorting to mindless slaughter?
