I have no interest in PLN or WW. I used to lurk on JWZone. It kind of helped me in the beginning, contrasting the posts here and there. But the lack of real conversation got to me after a while. There's only so many times I care to hear how wonderful the latest book/magazine/article is from the FDS, or how close we are to the "time of the end.". I'd have to takes breaks, and then I'd go back to see what was going on.
But live and let live is probably the best.
Yes, I did infiltrate a board, but I did not do so with the intention of making anyone "see the light" or even upsetting their world. Actually, I was just curious and wanted to "listen" to Witnesses other than the few I know in the "real world".
I still am on Witness World and never posting anything that would upset them or make them think. Just like Somebodylovesme, I only lurk there to see what's up. The posts that I have made, were either off topic of religion all together or agreed with their point of view on religion.
I never was a JW and by lurking around on WW and another JW only board, I was better able to understand their way of thinking. My intent on WW was purely educational.

I think so. Having been a big part of them before coming here, I know that forced entry and sly tactics just reinforce the "apostate evil" mentality. I am also big on respecting other's private space. If a board is publicly accessible for reading, that's cool.
I believe that their curiosity lead them when they are ready.

I don't have a strong enough stomach to visit the Dud web sites, but I feel anyone should be able to visit if he/she wants. Whether or not you should be able to post should be up to the site operators...after-all it's their site!
What "Somebody" stated reminds me of several Elders meeting I sat in on regarding the other Cong. that shared the bldg. This group was mad at that group for not putting the toilet seats down when they finished using the hall kind of stupidness. I hated sitting there listening to these 40 plus year olds acting like they were ten!
It would be nice to put a link to this site on all the JW' sites! Let them come here and see what we have to say....the cowards! Maverick

It does not really matter here. True, they should keep testing out the scriptures, but, IMO, they need to understand the real world too. I personally think it's a sin not to tell an active dub that they should stop being one. When you hide truth from someone, you are a sharer in a lie.
Again, I will not judge anyone for going onto that board and doing that. It is the internet, and, like DevonMcbride said, the internet is the least private venue around.

Should we go into what the persons responsible for going into the "chat" type forum and interrogate him/her for they're reasons on doing so? I think not.
We all need to be a bit more forgiving, and, I'm not saying that this is you, but people need to understand that something done is done so without thinking of the consequenses. Because we are, in a sense, nameless here on the internet (unless we choose to tell the truth), it's a lot more easier to be "naughty". Some, like me, will not do our "Percieved" mistakes twice. It's not in nature to cause disorder on the internet. There are a few hackers who are, but that is it.
