Haven't you got anything better to do?

    Humble,

I am NOT apostate. I was never baptised. I saw the hypocrisy with my own 2 eyes. Just like many others have experienced first hand what evil the WTS are.

You can be as faithful as you like to men. You're the sucker and you cant even see it.

So shut up and get your facts straight before you start. Loser.

    Humble,

Allow me to take your argument apart, piece by piece:

The problem with apostates is that they do not do their own research.

I did my own research and decided that this wasn't the Truth before I ever visited any web sites. Then I read what others posted, and I went to the Kingdom Hall library and looked it up for myself.

They visit and read postings in other apostate sites and believe every work they read. This is what they accuse real JW's from doing.

I do not believe every work I read, and I have stated my disagreements online. I challenge anything that isn't true, or accurate, or logical.

They listen to bitter men such as Ray Franz and believe all their accusations. They would lead you to believe that these are humble men and great writers, but in reality these are used by Satan to fill good people with harmful doubts about Jehovah and the way he handles matters.

If you ever read Ray's writings, you would see that isn't the least bit bitter. You'd be amazed at the tone he uses; I was, for I believed the JW rumors about him, just as you seem to believe them. But that's all they are, false rumors designed to slander someone.

Some of the apostates on this site are former elders that claim that everything they did was because they followed the Watchtower's way of doing things.

    That would include me.

The truth is that they were horrible elders, and for one reason or another they were removed.

I was not removed, I stepped down because my conscience would not allow me to continue.

Because of their pride, they cannot accept that they were horrible elders that misused their power and took advantage of Jehovah's flock.

To this day, JWs in my old congregation talk about how they miss me as an elder, and how kind I was. I never took advantage of anyone, as the JWs in my old congregation will testify.

Now that you are confronted with someone who proves every statement you made to be false, what do you say?

    To TedCobb & Humble:

You two are repeating such stock-standard JW excuses that it's pathetic. You seem to think that ex-JWs who criticize the Society do it because they have some kind of personality defect -- that they were never "true JWs" to begin with. This is absolute nonsense. You also seem to think that only a tiny number of ex-JWs provide all of the information that other critics use against the Society. Again, you're spouting nonsense.

It's clear that you two have never actually done your own research in things related to Jehovah's Witnesses. Like the rest of us when we were still JWs, you only do "research" in WTS publications, and perhaps read a little outside material when you get the chance. The Society really discourages outside research, and so you feel justified in looking no further than where your religious leaders tell you to look. They tell you that they've given you everything you need to "get life", and you blindly believe them.

I happen to be one who did a great deal of outside research on my own, and as a result concluded that JW leaders have no idea what they're talking about in many areas. Far from being "God's spokesmen", they're largely ignorant men who don't want to learn anything from outside the confines of their captive followers.

Beginning in the early 1990s I put in hundreds of hours of research on the Society's teachings about science. To my astonishment, everywhere I looked I found misinformation, misquotes, misrepresentations and real ignorance of the subjects the Society's writers were writing about. Some of the misrepresentations were inadvertant and due to simple ignorance; others were clearly deliberate and designed to fool the ignorant. It became obvious that if the Society couldn't manage to be correct, and more important -- honest -- about relatively straightforward things like science, they couldn't possibly be honest and correct about religious things. Does the Bible not say that he who is unfaithful in what is least will be unfaithful in much?

Now, you'll probably just want to raise your arrogant noses at what I've written, so I'll challenge you to see if you're as intellectually honest as you think you are: go to http://www.geocities.com/osarsif/index2.htm and read my articles "Watchtower's View of Science", "The WTS View of Creation and Evolution" and "The Flood". Look up whatever references you like. Then see if you can find anything wrong with the hundreds of specific criticisms I've set forth. If you can find any errors, and you can provide appropriate documentation, I'll correct them. But if you find that I've told the truth, will you be willing to correct your own incorrect beliefs?

I'll go out on a very short limb here and make a prediction based on the past performance of every JW I've ever issued this challenge to: you'll take a quick look at the web page, realize you're in way over your head, and disappear from this board with at most few contentless parting shots. I know that this is what you'll do, because the Society itself has done pretty much the same thing.

    HA HA HA HA HA!!!
It is truly amazing how many J-Dubs constantly show up on this board and attempt to challenge so-called apostates right to educate others. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that people like Tedcobb, Humble, Redline is the fact that they are being disobedient little children. Mommy(WTS) would be very very upset with the likes of you if she knew you were associating with apostates. You may even need a "time out"(DF'd) LoL

Tedcobb of course, as all j-dubs do, misused the term apostate, saying that those here function as apostates to undermine the WTS(jehovah organisation as you put it). APOSTATES are opposed to GOD, many here are not. And.....the WTS has been sucessful in undermining itself....they just shield the TRUTH from the Rank & File.

Perhaps you saw the thread "HOUSTON, WEVE GOT A PROBLEM" by You Know.
Did you notice that so-called apostates responded and wished for the safety of YK's relatives? (btw, YK has spewed hatred for "apostates" here and on other boards )
In a related story, perhaps you saw the outpouring of sorrow about those who drowned at the convention at the Astrodome. Yep, once again it was these so-called apostates here.
Tedcobb, Humble...my advice to you is OBEY your MOMMY, stay off the Internet unless you are TRUELY seeking the facts, or end up as bitter and battle-scarred J-dubs like FREDHALL and YOU KNOW.

    Dear Brother Cobb:

Since your concience has not reprimanded you, I, as your loving Christian
brother must do so. In the interests of your spritual health, I must tell
you that you have put yourself in grave danger.

The Society has warned on many occasions about the dangers of the internet
and the even more dangerous poison of apostates.

Flee! Flee! Before it is too late.

But, if you insist on hanging around, I recommend some very interesting
research that can be found at:

    http://members.aol.com/beyondjw/itow.htm

It contains nothing but 100% quotations from the Society's
writing, so you can be sure that it is upbuilding.

    sigh

APOSTATES are opposed to GOD, many here are not.

Apostates are not necessarily opposed to God. "Apostasy" is "an abandonment of one's religious faith, political party, cause, or principles" (AHD). One could easily switch religions, or drop out of religion altogether, and still retain faith in God.

The Organization has so warped the meaning of the word that Witnesses are incapable of realizing that, if they've converted from another religion and then go door-to-door preaching, they themselves epitomize apostasy.

Oh I love these posts! LOLOL!!!

Yes it is true...that Jehovahs Witnesses unlike EXJWs, ALWAYS do their own research, never relying on one source, checking and cross checking against what the Bible says like the Bereans.

Yes it is true...that unlike EXJWs JWs never just BELIEVE all that they read in the Watch Tower Publications unquestioningly.

Yes...sigh..it is true...EXJWs spend their time WORTHLESSLY online talking about their old religion in NEGATIVE terms. But JWs ALWAYS speak of their old religions with nothing but LOVE and respect. The Watch Tower Publications are jam packed with articles delineating the positive and uplifting work of other churches in spreading the Good News.

Yes...oh my oh my...JWs NEVER go online and spend their time in worthless pursuit of criticizing and badgering people who used to be their brothers. Nope..nothing but LOVE and COMPASSION come off the fingertips of the Worldwide Brotherhood.

JWs never ever waste their time trying to convince other people that what they believe is untrue and that the JWs alone Own God.

Yes it is also true that JWs dont go to war. And of course NOBODY ever dies because of their beliefs by lack of life saving blood transfusions, or innoculations, or organ transplants, or by suicide from being disfellowshipped and losing their families. But by GOD they dont go to war...so they have to have the "truth."

No Jehovahs Witnesses are ever unhappy, depressed, suicidal, or have marital problems, or lack of education for good jobs or children that get involved with drugs nor do they have extramarital affairs or commit fornication or drink excessively. Of course all those articles about such things are meant for WORLDLY people only. Jehovahs Organization is a CLEAN organization. No such people exist within its walls.

All Elders are spirit appointed and are miraculously embued with the ability to solve ALL of lifes problems with just the touch of an Index. Nothing is beyond their capabilities. Their wives can be trusted implicity with even the deepest personal secrets. Wives of elders are NEVER told of what happens in judicial committee meetings.

There is no power structure within the organization. All people are equal. No one gets punished for not doing enough hours in the field service as this is...after all...voluntary.

The Society encourages...and yes LEADS the congregations by example...when being charitable to ALL human beings. Disasters such as the floods in Houston will bring out the very BEST in the Jehovahs Witnesses who will set up relief for not only their OWN people but others who have suffered in this catastrophy.

Pedophiles within the Organization are not really Jehovahs Witnesses at all...when they are caught they are disfellowshipped and the authorities are informed at once. All prior knowledge of that person is disavowed.

    I could go on...but Im tearing up here...ney...crying. [:*(]

It is a great shame to see brothers and sisters how have given so much in service to Jehovah, not only give up, but trying to undo all their fine work. I enjoy being a part of Jehovah's organisation - the wholesome association, having meaning in my life etc. Even if people have had bad experiences in the past, Jehovah sorts it all out, even if it seems He is doing nothing, as I have seen for myself.

If you believe in wholesome association what are you doing here?

If you think Jehovah sorts it out, read more from Silent Lambs and take a look at the thread on whether elders are appointed by Holy Spirit.

why not get yourselfs a life and do something useful with the time you have left.

Thank you I have a very nice life now. I don’t rank in the top 20 posters. Some of the top posters here are the defenders of the WTS…talk about not having lives. This weekend, I managed to visit the garden nursery twice and plant some of my gardens with flowers and tomatoes. I made a planter and two window boxes and added them to my deck. I took a trip to a local art fair stopped off and had a print framed. Had a picnic by the lake, saw a movie (Shrek), answered a systems pager call from work, called my mom, and had time to work downtown (3 hrs) waiting tables on a project for feeding the homeless. And my house is clean and tidy.

I enjoy my life to the full and I will die when my time comes just like you will.

'To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing'

Changed "most" to "some" regarding the top posters. Didn't mean to offend anyone.
