The question is flawed, imo. It uses the word "wrong." What would be the criteria for making that judgment? Is it a religious call? Is it personal? Is it legal? A better word would be "ethical," imo again.
Is the person an alcoholic? Then it would be harmful to them. As Blondie said, will they be driving or have kids in their care? Etc.
Another poster pointed out that drunk needs to be defined too.
As far as a person "getting drunk on purpose," it's their own business if they're not endangering anyone. If it hurts them, then that's still their own business.
I wouldn't get drunk on purpose (in the future, haha) because I don't like to harm my body and I would hate a hangover!!
