bisous,
Very well put I thought. I have similar beliefs about the life force idea but the way you expressed it gave me a new perspective on it. Cheers!!!!
ellderwho,
At the risk of Little Toe's suggestion that I may have offended you by my comment, I will apologize in advance. I try to learn from people that disagree with my viewpoint just as much as I try to learn from people who do agree with my viewpoint. It is after all, only a viewpoint and subject to change without notice. So, thank you for your contribution to my learning experience.........
Little Toe,
Your point is very well taken. My comment was not to suggest that ellderwho's comment was wrong. His comment just reemphasized in my mind why I tend to have the opinion that the more dogmatic religions tend to limit us the most in our spirituality. They do however exist because they fill a need. Even the JW religion, no matter how useless it is to most of us here fills a need. Some people must need to feel like the chosen ones.
It is ironic, though, that you are assuming that I was insulting ellderwho, while at the same time you are in fact insulting me. What is that saying about the kettle.........? Like I said to ellderwho, thanks for being a part of this learning experience for me. I will likely tend to look any future comments from you without automatically considering them to be completely objective. It is a good thing to have an idea about pople who have your best interests at heart and those who may not.
And yes, I like the freedom of expression that we are allowed here. I think most people here are thankful to Simon and others for that, too.
Brad
