This paranoia about the Patriot Act is amazing. The left continually rails against it but when they're asked to come up with some concrete examples of how people's rights have been abused, they can't find any. Funny how that works.

Indeed it is...they keep wanting to bring up these poor librarians that will be forced to turn over evidence at the whim of the FBI...which hasn't happened yet...and don't know that a warrant to do so must be issued by a judge...The Patriot Act has been GOOD for the US.

Lol, Yeru. Okay, Brad, please stay on topic or start your own threadPatNo, I just looked it up and Brad mentioned it in passing. He wasn't, imo, starting a new topic. Whatever, in any case, if you want to bash people for the Patriot Act, start another thread.
What Brad's offhand comment was, to me, was like my bringing up the article about WWII. This thread isn't about WWII and no one started posting about WWII. It's the same with Brad bringing up the Patriot Act. It's not a new subject for discussion on this thread.

No, he didn't mention it "in passing". He asked ME a direct question on whether I felt it was okay for him to oppose the Patriot Act. He should have started another thread in asking me the question.
Regardless, if you want to be so nitpicky on what can be discussed on what thread, especially when no one's flaming anyone else, please be consistent!
