I came out of the birth canal into a huge southern california family of dub bastards

dont you mean Gumbastards. (sorry couldnt resist)

I want to trade one of my sentences for your sentence Gumby, seeing as how it's the same as my story, right down to the Southern California part. Shoot maybe we're even related. *looks down at hands* on second thought, I'm pretty sure we're not related.... wrong color.

I think you might be my illegitimate child (spelled illigitimate wrong of course)

I lived in Pomona and Chino in the 50's through the early 70's.....I knew many from that area. My dub bastard family (aunts, uncles, cousins, ), lived in the La Cresenta area....and around those parts.

    Gumby

Gumby..... you may very well be right about that. It would explain my life long obsession with clay. My family was from the Pomona, Chino, Ontario area during that time. My Uncles were POs of a Pomona congregation and an Ontario congregation.

I started out as a less than fortuitous joining of an egg and sperm waaayyy back in 1970.

I was raised in a quirky little suburb of Columbus Ohio named Gahanna, by dutiful, drab, and dysfunctional Catholic parents who might have done better to keep looking rather than joining together in what was never a holy matrimony.

I joined the dubs at age 22, left 10 years later, and I still wonder what the hell I was thinking, and what the hell to think.

My mom got baptized when I was about 2, so growing up in a strict witness home is all I knew. Met others that led a more fullfilling, and Godly life than most witnesses. Faded away, and then learned the real truth about it all.

Hey Fredom...... this was a changing point for me as well. When I finally talked to "worldly" people and realized that they werent all waiting to slit my throat. I thought to myself "they seem more sincere than many witnesses I know. It's not all about meeting the protocal with them. What do they know taht I dont know?" Man, when I finally started to find out what they knew that I didnt, it blew my mind.
