Ah yes, the Governing Body that couldn't shoot straight!

Here's some more blunders from the half senile old f@arts:

    1) If the organization goes to a voluntary donation system, they'll get money from the public and the friends.

Result: how about getting little money from either?

    2) If the organization drops subscriptions, they'll save money and encourage publishers to go to the meetings to pick up

    the latest issues.

Result: how about letting the magazines pile up, not reading them, and skipping the meetings?

    3) If the organization changes the hour requirement for pioneers, they'll be a huge increase in pioneers.

Result: fewer total hours spent by a few more people - with no particular net gain in the aggregate

    4) The organization can easily bury or ignore child molestation problems brought up by a few malcontents.

Result: bad press that travels all over the globe, growing lawsuits, ad hoc counter-organizations formed

and the image of a repressive cult intensified.

Well, to be honest, there is a small kernel of truth to that paragraph...

    From www.ship.edu/~cgboeree/genpsytraits.html

Next, there's the contrast between thinkers and feelers. Thinking people make their decisions on the basis of thinking -- reasoning, logic, step-by-step problem solving. This works very well for physical problems, but can leave something to be desired when dealing with something as complex as people.

Feeling people make their decisions based on their feelings. While this doesn't work so well when trying to fix you car or your computer, feelings are a kind of intuition that works very well when dealing with people.

Half of all people are thinking and half are feeling, but the proportions differ when we start looking at gender: The majority of men are thinkers and the majority of women are feelers. This goes along well with old stereotypes as well as recent research: Men tend to do better with step-by-step problem solving, especially involving mechanical things; Women tend to do better in social situations. Some people have criticized Jung for this apparent sexism, but we should note that a good third of men are feelers, and a good third of women are thinkers, so it is not a simple "men vs. women" kind of thing. Plus, Jung said that there is no reason to value thinking over feeling -- each has its strengths and weaknesses. Note also that feeling men may feel odd, as may thinking women. Stereotypes do the greatest harm when they prevent individuals from being what they in fact are!

M & F ?roles? as interpreted by WT. Note height comparison.

Not too politically correct, I would think?or popular with most folks today. Another example of WT?s psychological ?guerilla marketing? tactics.

    Bradley,

Well, to be honest, there is a small kernel of truth to that paragraph...

I have to say, that I am often astonished at the naiveté of many XJW?s who are often still content to search the dustbin of educational drop-outs for obscure and half-baked references to support obscure and half-baked philosophies.

The WTS use of quotes regarding the part that woman play in Society flies against the face of history and anthropology, though there is no doubt that some researcher in WTS Writing will, as you have, dig up tripe by such as Dr. Boeree to bolster an opinionated viewpoint not supported by *any* data.

    For example :

Half of all people are thinking and half are feeling

lol...Evidence that *all* of Dr Boeree's are stupid.

Honestly Brad, your quote is nonsense as most of the women on this Board, and many of the more informed males know. In fact it is so unworthy that is nullifies the need for refutation. If your post was an attempt at humor, then I apologize for taking it seriously.

    Best regards - HS

"True, there have been those in times past who predicted an "end" to the world, even announcing a specific date. Yet nothing happened. The 'end' did not come. They were guilty of false prophesying. Why? What was missing? Missing from such people were God's truths and the evidence that He was using and guiding them.'' (Awake, Oct. 8, 1968)

Boy did this one come back to bite them!

I believe part of this quote is true, but to the rest of it, namely this part:

"I am a woman, hence my chief interest is men. And because I am also a psychologist, my interest in men is greater than it otherwise would be. Recently the National Management Association asked me to do some research on the different psychological factors of both men and women. It hoped that what I learned might point to ways of reducing the pressures which develop when men and women work together. I saw emerge these two truths: 1. All women like to work under a ceiling of authority. In short, they like to be bossed. 2. All women must feel that they are needed.

All I have to say to that BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! idiots

One of my favorite sources of humor is when people make such blanket statements as "All" and "Everyone" or "Always" and "Everytime"

    TowerWatch,

Excellent catch, though it must be evidence of 'Gods Spirit' that a religious organization can shoot itself in the foot so often and still walk!
