Thanks brummie, It was worth it. With a hernia, you can actually feel it when you bend over, twist, pick up things etc. It makes some nautious, others can get strangulation if they pinch and that's a bad thing. In my line of work it would have just gotten bigger if I would have let it go. Some can live with them if they don't lift much and can live with discomfort. Some live with them for years. Mine was getting bigger quickly, and more painful towards the end. Gumby

So glad you got home a okay. I guess they don't even keep you in the hospital for a day or so.
Maybe because Mrs. Gumby is home to take care of you. Home care is always better than being in the hospital. I think most people rest better in their own bed I know that I do.

Well...it's a quarter after 7 which is usually when I do the bathroom thing and I'm dreadin that part if it happens. Usually pain meds bind you up for a few days, so maybe I won't have to go through with the bathroom deal for a day or two.
