I watch these movies purely for the scenes with Dr. Evil. He's so ridiculous, cracks me up everytime. As for Austin Powers himself, yuck.

I usually have higher standards for movies but I found these movies pretty funny.
I would never buy them on my own though. Paying to watch them at the theatre was worth it to me.

We actually walked out of the second one and snuck in to see Signs, which was better for the money we spent on the movie.

the first one was funny! the scene where he tries to turn the cart around in the corridor was hilarious.

lol, good. Cuz I laughed at all the sheer stupidity. I thought that was the point.
I know, I know. I'm just not particularly entertained by people being asses for assininity's sake. (Although it worked for Beavis and Butthead.) OTOH, tricks of perspective that make it look like a man is urinating in another man's mouth... well that had me rolling in the aisles. So I'm certainly not claiming to be highbrow.
I loved all three of these movies. Way better than LordoftheRings, as trilogies go.
Meddle not in the affairs of Tolkien, for you are blasphemous and quick to ridicule.

Holy Crap, Simon and I agree on something! Everyone write this down for the history books. LOL. I too hate the Austin Powers film and find them extremely juvenile. And since I have such a weird phobia of midgets, that Mini Me character makes me ill. UGH!

You guys are crazy, these movies are funny as hell.
Then again all of you probably think "Friends" is funny, well written, clever humour

Austin Powers movies don't do a thing for me. Although that one scene at the very beginning of the first one where he pees for ever after waking up, that I did laugh at. I do think Mike Meyers is funny (he was the best thing in that boring movie about flight attendants), but the Austin Powers movies couldn't be saved, the scripts were just too lame.
I saw Love Actually last week, too, it was really good. What a cast!
