I found the first one funny. At least no one told me it was a great movie so I had no preconceived ideas about it. Hated the second one. Liked the third one. Recently watched the second one and actually liked it this time around. So, I guess it depends on timing or if you're interested in potty humor. I used to not be, but now I guess I allow myself to laugh at anything. Even dogs who run away dragging their butt behind them when you scare them while taking a shite.

Oh yeah, same thing happened for Spiderman when it came out. I had all these wonderful ideas of what the movie was gonna do that when I watched it I was let down big time. I hated the movie. Especially Tobey McGuire. But after watching it a second time I already knew what happened and I actually enjoyed it. Hmmm, go fig.

I had no preconceived ideas of what they would be about, nor how good or bad.
I found all of them hilarious, on several levels. Even where they are bad, they are good

Fat Bastard is so obnoxious, I can't help but groan, and laugh at the sickness of the character. Especially when he loses weight!!
The sumo scene almost ended me!

Mini-me cracks me up when he goes Judas, especially when he demonstrates that he's hung like a horse.

It's heavy on the schoolboy humour, but some of the moments are deliciously subtle, often accerbated by a sly look at the camera to make the point.

    I give it

The first one was the really funny, as they went on the humour was 'the same old same old'. However they were still funny.

I think much of the group aren't British, IMHO the humour is very much aimed at our level, particularly the English.

It is all presentend 'tongue in cheek'.

Chill out, it's not meant to work at a deep level, watch some Python...

    OH, BEHAVE......

I gree Simon, I could only take about one minute of Austin Powers before I got a headache! I put Mike M in the same category as that little weasle in, "Something about Mary". Maverick

    I enjoyed it hugely.

Plus, it's the only time since "The Patriot" that you get to see a USA movie where the Union Jack is waved around.

Mr. Positive, I too was astonished at the "Love Actually" scene that besmirched the America president. Billy Bob Thornton did play it well, though.

Well that's kind of how I look in a kilt. Aye.

The first was the best, after that it loses steam.

OTOH, tricks of perspective that make it look like a man is urinating in another man's mouth... well that had me rolling in the aisles. So I'm certainly not claiming to be highbrow.

You can't go wrong with that gag!
