Probably have posted this before, but I met Rick Springfield in May 1985 at the Louvre Museum in Paris. He was on concert tour and had on dark glasses. I recognized him and went up to him, I didn't ask for his autograph. I was more concerned trying to find the Mona Lisa. He wasn't really rude, but not friendly, mostly indifferent. And I met Shirley Temple Black about 15 years ago. That was worth the wait in line because I hear she doesn't sign autographs anymore because of all the autograph retailers on the Internet.
Who is the most famous person you know or have met?

As we were leaving, Tom Selleck ran after me with a napkin in hand with his signature scribbled on it. I remember he smiled really big and apologized for his "friend" and then ruffled my hair as he walked away.
Oh man. I would have died. But then he is my age.I ended up crying even more later when I did get home. My dad made me throw that autograph away because it was giving too much glory to a human and not to Jehovah. You know how I thought my dad would take up for me for Roger E. Mosely yelling at me? He actually told me that it was "punishment" from Jehovah for even asking for something so worldly.
God I hate that religion and their freaky beliefs!!! I was 8 years old!!!

Magnum filmed in my neighborhood once and I took photos of Selleck and his double. I also got to go to the house where it was filmed in 1982. I didn't like that TGI Fridays', next to the graveyard. Did you go there after a convention? I also didn't like that Jolly Roger's near the old drive-in movie theater (next to Kahala Mall) which was also next to an old cemetary. Do you remember those stories about that movie theater, of ghosts in the bathroom?

Andi, that is so sad. My JW father used to meet lots of famous people at the seminars he went to as a doctor. He would get autographs for me all the time. I guess it depends on who your parents are inside. We've always been kind of a "star struck" family. I had saved all of them in a box and Dave took it to the dump about 30 years ago. He thought it was junk. I was so mad at him!!! Dad would get them to sign on postcards. I had so many of them too.

Being a former sports FANATIC I have stayed after many a sports event and waiting paitiently for hours in order to meet players. Probably the most famous I actually spent more than a milisecond with was Charles Barkley. He was really nice contrary to his reputation at the time. Still have the pics of my brother and him that he was nice enough to pose for. Also met Randall Cunningham when I was in my late teens or early twenties and took a dare from the girl that was with me and pinched his bum as he walked by us.
it was much softer than i thought it would be lol

Charles Barkley,,, whoa! heheh (swoon) Okay, I have just a teensy-weensy thing for him. I always thought he seemed a good guy in interviews and such, ie his reputation was more court-oriented aggression than anything else. He's soooo handsome. Smart, too.
