It really *is* scary! When I first started ghost hunting, we went to an old cemetary at 3:00 a.m. in Houston. Myself and two other people. It was so spooky that I thought I was going to wet my pants! Glad I wore my DEPENDS.. hehehh. j/k. There were definate temperature fluctuations in the cemetary, noticeable enough that you got goose bumps, and it was a warm fall night. We were standing under an oak tree, and all of a sudden acorns started falling all around us. Could have been a squirrel, I don't know, but we hightailed it outta there!

We then went to an old abandoned hospital called Jefferson Davis hospital, it's somewhere near downtown Houston. It's said to be built on an old confederate burial ground. That's debatable. I'm not familiar with the city, so I can't really say where it is. It was definitely creepy, but there were so many people there that it was like a giant party. Different ghost hunter groups, even parents with their kids, up at 4 a.m. walking around this old decrepit building. I was worried for the kids because the staircase is right next to an old elevator shaft that drops three floors. I'd hate to have one of them mistake it for the staircase. These people didn't seem to be supervising their children, who were running everywhere. It was long before one of the security guards that patrols the area came and kicked us all out. But a picture of what looks like a "nurse ghost" mist was taken. Scaweee....

    Freedom:

The day my parents moved out of the house, my mom was in the living room looking around for the last time, with her dog. Both just standing in middle of the room, when she and the dog suddenly heard wailing coming from her room. That is the only time we remember anyone actually hearing the ghost make any noise besides footsteps.

I bet he was sorry to see them leave! Ghosts can become attached to the resident. I've heard of them being annoyed when a person decides to go out somewhere, stuff like that, because they don't like being alone. (?)

My ghost was standing at the foot of my bed, (intersecting the bed, actually), looking at me. He is a little boy, probably about 10 years old. He was wearing a white shirt and a waistcoat.

Perhaps in the years to come I will get involved in helping them to move on...

Our disasterously dysfunctional Jehovah's Witness family was 'haunted' with turmoil.

Our JW family life wasn't the idyllic," Little house on the prairie".More like a nightmare script from the,"Tales from the crypt". Undaunted Danny," The crypt keeper"

    THE REAL PHANTOM MENACE

This ghostly image was caught on CCTV at historic Hampton Court Palace, a home of King Henry VIII, and long reported to be haunted.

The 16th Century palace in south-west London is well known for alleged supernatural activity, but nothing suspicious has been caught on film before.

However, in October this year, this curious image was caught on the palace's CCTV footage.

On several occasions security guards were alerted to an open fire door in an exhibition area of the palace.

After securing the door each time, they returned to their office to view the CCTV footage to see who had opened them.

On the first occasion the footage showed the doors flying wide open, but no evidence of why they had.

On the second, the guards were stunned when a ghostly figure in period dress suddenly appeared on the screen and closed the doors.

The same thing happened on a third day, but again no figure appeared.

Stranger still was that a visitor had noted in the palace's visitor book that she thought she had seen a ghost in that area.

Yes . . . but it was a house haunted with sound; the echoes of ghosts of love.

I THINK THAT THE SOURCE OF SOME OF THE THINGS WE HEAR IS OUR OWN MIND AT WORK.

I AM REFERING TO THINGS THAT WE HEAR IN OUR SLEEP THAT WAKES US UP.

TWICE WHEN I WAS UNDER HIGH STRESS I HAD STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN.

ONCE DURING MY FORCED EXIT FROM JW LAND, AT TIMES I WOULD AWAKE TO 3 KNOCKS ON THE WALL. I HAD THE USUAL FREAKY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS.

THEN I DECIDED IT WAS MY OWN MIND WANTING ME TO AWAKE AND IT STOPPED.

THE OTHER TIME WAS WHEN I WAS A SHERIFF'S DEPUTY. IT HAD BEEN A BAD NIGHT. I AWOKE TO 5 RAPID GUNSHOTS. I KNEW WHAT GUNSHOTS WERE. I CALLED IT IN AND WENT OUT TO MEET THE CITY POLICE RESPONSE.

WE LOOKED ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND FOUND NOTHING. THE NEXT DAY THERE WERE COPS VISITING THE NEARBY HOUSES. AGAIN NOTHING.

NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS GOT ME SOME STRANGE LOOKS FROM THE COPS AND A LOT OF RAZZING.

I THINK FOR SOME REASON MY MIND CAUSED THOSE SOUNDS. AGAIN DURING STRESS. I HAVE NO CLUES AS TO WHY.

I AM NOT SAY THAT THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS GHOSTS. JUST THAT MAYBE "SOME" OF THE THINGS WE THINK ARE SPIRITS, IS REALLY FROM OUR OWN MINDS.

LOL, Steph. It was a metaphore about living in a house where really intense love existed, then went away . . . leaving ghosts of love.
