You talkin' about BibleGod(tm)? If so, he wouldn't mind at all. After all, that God is a god of TRUTH, isn't He?

Can you imagine the trouble,,we be in if God took every slight personally and kept a record to settle the score in the future. God would be a nerotic.

Most folks do mind when you call them an asshole. Don't you?

I would take issue with anyone calling me names and is disrespectful. In fact, I'm in the process of taking individuals to court for slanderous public comments.

"Illustration given at a circuit assembly in Michigan:"

What a simplistic little morality tale, written at a second grade comprehension level (so much for Bible education being at the college level, lol)! I've been doing a lot of study on cults and high control religion, in which quotes from the WTS are given. The comprehension level of the material is glaringly obvious now. It amazes that I ever believed this crap!

While I can't say I've ever cursed God, I did have a few long, heartfelt talks about the absence of his help in my life which sometimes evolved into yelling in frustration, lol, and a few heartfelt prayers in which I asked him to save me from his people.

    He didn't answer. Imagine that.

At any rate, I've always felt like the poster who thinks that God would view things as a parent with a child who yells "I hate you." Having had my children yell that at me numerous times, I understand the analogy very well;)

When I was a JW sometimes I would get so pissed off at jehovah I would start swaering at him in my prayers. My conscience would bother me for days,,I would go back to God begging for his forgiveness,,trying to explain my indisgressions in calling him an asshole and other choice words. It was all because of my views of God, they were basically that he was very petty and ready with lightening bolt to destroy you or f#ck up your hard work in revenge.

This is why jesus teaching about not seeking revenge,,are so inconsistant with the god of the bible,,if not seeking revenge is the good way to be,,than what the f#ck is god doing seeking revenge??? inconsistancy at it worst.

Each of us interpret our surroundings (and "God") in our own way.
I don't think the OT writers were immune from that...

    LT,

I agree,,that being the case don't go to the bible to find out about god it will only give you a f*cked up picture of a bully that is call god

Then basically,,your saying correct me if I'm wrong: the bible is.,,not true,,a lie,,a falsehood,,unreliable,,when it speaks of god.

I've cursed at "God" worse than that.

    So what?

He's "big" enough to deal with it, eh?

"God" versus "me"...I win, because I AM.
