Sixy is not remotely involved in the recent complaints about an alleged over-amorous poster at this site.

His name was never mentioned by the complainants.

To those people who would malign others by false accusations, shame on you all!

A little advice for the JWD bitching forum is not amiss here methinks. The Bard says it well:

I have known Six for a LONG time....he was one of the first apostates I ever met in person. We have posted together, chatted on the phone and met in person. He has been to Austin and stayed at my home and was kind enough to open his home up to myself, tyydyy and his g/f when we were there for a fest. He has never been anything other than an utter and complete gentleman. He is a great father and an all around good person.

I feel honored to call him a friend.

There is so much speculation about all of this and rumors are built out of nothing more than negativity and air. And now, many people are skiddish about the genuine and benign interactions they have with others on this board.

It's a vicious thing to have one's reputation smeared and rumors circulated that have absolutely no truth to them whatsoever and just grow and grow as they are passed from one person to the next and I don't want to see that happen to someone I care about.

Sixofnine was one of the first from this board I met as well. I've known him for almost (counting on fingers) - three years now. He is a gentleman with a quiet strength about him and is always willing to help anyone in need. Although he may be a bit of a flirt, he is a teddy bear inside. Even though we disagree on several topics, I respect and admire him as a man and friend.

I have an incredible loathing for people who make false accusations.

I've been on the end of it twice.

Once, someone with whom I worked stated blithely that I had told him/her in confidence that I was actually looking for information to pass on to another company that produced a similar product. It was such a bare faced lie it was breathtaking, particularly in view of the fact that I had never actually spoken with the person concerned.

Eventually the person admitted that it had been a lie, but was unable to say why the lie had been told.

The second event was so diabolically evil that I can't even bring myself to discuss it.

So, no, when I see the chattering classes, the knitting women, the giggling gasbags who malign someone unfairly, I tend to occasionally get a little testy about it.

Just a little.

Six? Give me a break! If ever there was someone who is straightforward and kind-hearted, it is this man. And no, we're not 'good friends', but have corresponded a bit, and it's enough for me to know that this is just ridiculous.

This just goes to show how things get blown out of proportion.

I HATE GOSSIP

To those who are gossiping, I would just like to say that you should trust Simon's judgement on this. He would not take kindly to anyone using this forum for abusive purposes, and if he feels that this was not the case, then that is good enough for me.

Have you read every piece of correspondence and heard a tape of every conversation? NO? Then maybe you should just keep your nose out of it!

After traveling to Florida with Sixy last Halloween, I can categorically state that he is a really nice guy and someone I am proud to call "friend." Not once did we have the urge to throw him into passing traffic.
