A normal mother does not agonize for weeks or years if it is appropriate to acknowledge a grandchild born to her unwed daughter.

For example, at a JW wedding, it would be inappropriate to "toast" and cling glasses to the happiness of the new bride and groom. Yet to a "worldly" or "normal" person, not only is this not objectionable, it is a sign of shared happiness for the couple to offer a "toast"...........

When 4 dubs are out camping and drinkin beer.......they wouldn't think twice about a toast. They would say damn, hell, maybe even shit sometimes. Dubs are normal people who pretend to be different.........especially around big dub occasions for fear of rebuttle from the more serious well trained fakers.

don't read bed time stories to their children from a book depicting the destruction of almost everyone on the planet or with birds pecking out eyeballs.
go to the police when their child is abused instead of talking to a plumber about what to do.
don't make a rule for today and then change it for no reason tomorrow
don't forbid saying things like Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Birthday or Good Luck along with a lot of other things
normal people don't think it is a sin to make a bet or just say "I bet ya..."
don't tell their children to only play with certain kids and exclude anyone not a JW
don't forbid their children from participate in afterschool activites, sports, saying the Lord's Prayer, salute the flag, be in a parade, enter a contest (that would require "luck" to win)
don't teach their children to lie in court about their lifestyle
don't go the celebrate the Lord's Evening Meal and watch as no one partakes
aren't scared to buy things at a garage sale or used * store in case it has demons in it
don't think demons stand in their bedrooms waiting to rape them
don't go to 5 religious meetings a week and are expected to prepare for them all for hours at a time
aren't expected to live in poverty with little educate and donate a sizable portion of their income to a book publishing company

All that being said some very disfunctional families do all or some of the above

Lee.....your telling your age damit! That was the paradise book of the 60's sister flowerchild groovy sister of mine! The light has gotten brighter and more love has been shown by the Faithfull Slave. Now they only show burning buildings and churches and governments destroying people while running for their lives with terrified faces......kids included (with tattoo's......eeeeeew!) The pictures now don't cause nightmares near as much.

A normal unselfish person would rather die with their loving family then save their own butts.

Normal people don't need 2 witnesses to establish that a child abuser is in the midst. Normal people won't judge a person simply because they are of a different religion. Normal people will say, "Bless you" if you sneeze and not believe it's demonic. Normal people will open their doors to panic stricken people (as in 9-11) and not force a "lock down" so that "worldly" people can't get their help.
