like a pompous hypocrite. I have a hard time understanding staying in a belief system that teaches
crap like this.

Looking back there was nearly nothing normal with my life as a JW as compared to people the labeled worldly. To be a Jehovah's Witness is to ender the world of the bizarre reasoning.
The attitudes toward Christians of other religions, one started and encouraged by Rutherford and still followed today. Viewing themselves as standing apart and only saved people of Christ. And yes the many who refuse to attend the funeral or wedding of a loved one because it is held in a church. Calling everyone outside the JW domain unbelievers though they profess trust and confidence in Jesus Christ. The WTS believeing they are the one and only organization doing the bidding of God Almighty and the anointed the only saved ones and the great crowd holding onto their coat tails.
My children were raised to endure all kinds of unnessary hardships at school because to the teachings of the WTS. My son might have lived if he had been given a blood transfusion when he needed it. What religion asks the sacrifice of our loved ones to a falsely held believe about the use of blood to save lives.
I have no one one to blame but myself for believeing them, for being blindly trusting because they said so. They do after all prey on the trusting and devoted ones don't they?

A normal person won't think god will strike them dead if they say "hey that was a lucky catch"
A normal person won't bow their head at a restaraunt for two minutes pretending to say a heartfelt prayer.
A normal person won't make their children sit through two hours of agony and if they move a muscle take them to the back and give them a major whooping.

Won't go around in F.S. sizing up people's homes.
Won't send their kid outside the classroom if another student is having a b'day party.
Won't cut off communication with their grandchildren or their own children due to different beliefs.
Won't say 'abstain from blood' but take blood components.
Won't call a 'worldly' organization (UN) the worst names imaginable and then join them for the benefits.

I?m a bit confused. Are you saying that JWs do masturbate or do not? And are you saying that nobody else in the world does it? I thought that really everybody does it, JWs or non-JWs (but certainly non-JWs).
Maybe I?m just tired, because your syntax is causing me some sort of Boolean dyslexia syndrome. All well. I think I should just jolly well go and . . . um . . . you know, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . stop reading this computer screen here at work and go home for the day.
