You'll believe that you're right and I'll believe that I'm right and we'll just either let it go or have fun with it from time to time.

Sure but now you think I'm inferior by your reasoning

By disagreeing with the opposing belief we automatically see it as inferior to our belief. We think it's wrong, we think ours is right, therefore our belief is superior.

No you can see it as DIFFERENT....you can still be right but that doesn't rule out them being right also, for them. What is right for me due to my perspective on life isn't necessarily right for someone else based on their life experience. I guess I don't see just one right answer to all life's questions. Doesn't make me "politically correct" or mean I don't have the strength of my convictions. lol I have enough conviction to continue this discussion

I guess we'll both have to be inferior, LOL.

That can work in certain situations, I guess...but others that are more of a yes, no kind of thing...Is there a God or not, for instance(or better yet..Bush/Kerry)...it would be hard to do. Athesits will think believing in God is inferior and Christians will think athesism is inferior. We can accept each other but we'll always disagree and think that we are more right than they are. Just human nature.

As French writer Jacques Prévert approximately put it:

"You think all opinions are worth respect.
    I don't think so.
    It's my opinion.
    Respect it."

Where along the line did the word respect come to mean esteem? If something is opinion it's just an opinion, why have more "respect" for some than others? Oh... There's the "my" opinion thing isn't there..
