It's over the top in my book but the human sacrifices I have seen seems worse. In 1981 I heard the Witnesses had changed the cannibalism doctrine and Witnesses were receiving human organ transplants without being ostracized. I was shocked. The people who say the Witnesses are victims of victims are in denial or have never really know them. They are victims like the fox in the hen house is a victim.
Witness logic and reason applied to bread, fallacy of logical conclusions

That was something I vaguely remember from the 70s . The guy if I remember correctly eventually went on a hunting trip (don't know all the facts here) but was shot along with his son in a hunting accident but to this day I still wonder if there wasn't more to the story . I guess your wife died during the '75 scare ? Exspecting to be resurrected in a short time ? I still believe in the resurrection and your wife showed a great deal of faith reguardless of the stupid doctrine .

Yes, she died Jan 12, 1971. She believed she would only be dead five years or so and then she would be re-created in a perfect replica body. I knew when I saw the year text for 1974 that we had been had . . . again.

Sorry Heathen, I was trying to post a picture but I could not get it to work. It was a picture of Max Larson the current president of Watch Tower Publishing Corporation. The site on Webshots has some decent history and photos of the publishing corporation's owners.
I am not at this time able to tie all this to eating bread but I am sure that yet undiscovered information will soon make the connection. Accepting this will of course require faith.
