    Thunder,

Please do not feel defeated by the negativity and black humor that many display toward their elected leaders. It shows a healthy attitude towards one of the most the most ridiculous of social notions - that experienced politicians have any interest at all in their subjects.

From the posts that I have read in this board in recent months it seems to me that ex Jehovah's Witnesses are arguably among the most politically naieve groups of people to be unleashed on civilization with a ballot in their hands.

Perhaps it is this penchant toward believing everything our leaders say that made us all Jehovah's Witnesses to begin with. Imho a crash course in history and political sciences should ne mandatory for XJW's - and I mean all of us on whatever side of the political fence that we plant our standard.

    Best regards - HS

Phrophecor: Just so you know hun, my letter is the same handwriting but says does not have the same wording at all. On the site WildThing posted they thought they just put a name and the State, but mine has specific info. Course we were personally invited to something from a campaign person at the White House, she called me at my home and I met her.

I can't post the letter cause too much would have to be blacked out, but I will post the newest pic of my son that he had taken around Christmas

Since this is the case. I'm glad he took time out of his schedule to write the letters. Even though he was not my choice, I too would feel proud to recieve a hand written letter also.

Thunder, just to make it clear on my part, I was not trying to make anyone feel bad at all. I just thought that since so many didn't believe it to be original, that the best way to get rid of any negitive replies was to compare the two letters. That's all.

Given that Presidents generally do not write even the speeches they deliver to the nation, I strongly doubt that these letters were hand-written. Even customized letters (e.g. Sheila's) were undoubtedly written by a staffer.

Still, the Bush campaign did put forth a lot of effort to show personal appreciation for its volunteers; and while I may disagree with you politically, I'm glad your hard work was recognized.

That's good to know; I wonder if it comes from the President's personal funds then?
I would guess the money came from the President's campaign funds.
