    Roybatty,

Bush, love 'em or hate 'em you cannot deny he is his own man. He's not afraid to state what he believes in.

I know a schizophrenic sailor who lives around the corner in a dumpster who is just like that! Do you suppose they might be related.

hmm, John Kerry was in the Navy and I heard that Teresa kicked him out because she wasn't going to continue to subsidize his idiocy unless he put her in the White House. Could be

This kind of humor and sarcasm is why HS gets a vote from me on the funniest poster thread.

I suppose it could be, but we would have to consider the source of your information. Was it Elton John or Gary Glitter?

Those were some nice statistics XW but from what I kept hearing during the election was that the gay marriage and cloning or stem cell were major issues to where bush was getting support from most states due to the religious fundy movement . I thought John Kerry looked better in the debates and made a much more intellectual approach to the problems in the mid east , US health care , the economy , taxation and religions place outside of politics to where Bush looked like a complete deutch. however you spell that sounds like dooooooooosh LOL

You're missing the point. If Bush is this "monster" why is the OTHER Hillary trying to be like him? Why is it whenever I see her on the news she's making some comment about "God this" of "God that". She's even going out of her way to tone down her abortion stance. Why????? Are the leading democrats so desperate to get into the White House that they'll become the monster they hate in order to beat him??

    Yeah roybatty

Don't underestimate Hillary she has 3 years to change her image but I don't think the people who don't trust her now will be fooled later but she is going to really try for 2008. She is real socialist who is trying to move toward the center. Meanwhile Bush is trying to put in place his vision of Ownership Society, the antithesis of government socialism, number one on that agenda is to make home ownership much easier for the low income and poor.

BTW, Bush recently met with the African American Caucus, US Congressional Black Caucus and with a group of Conservative African Americans. Listening to NPR in my truck on my way in to work this morning I was very surprised how positive black leaders were after meeting with him. Blacks are very frustrated with Democrats and want results not rhetoric and it appears Bush have a chance to impress. The one thing I heard repeatedly, they may not like Bush very much but they do know one thing about him, if he says he is going to do something they know that he will give it a real effort to make it happen and in a timely fashion. Unlike Democrats when in power do nothing but give lip service. So I'm hoping the Democrats will take note and start to address some of the real problems of this country we need both parties actively doing the right things. If Bush make real inroads with his ownership society vision he shared with them and then the Black community see some political action regarding issues it cares about then the Democrats will certainly be behind the 8 ball.

He is meeting soon with a national organization of Black pastors pushing his Faith Base Initiatives.

Actually I had no point, it was a joke!

As to your comments above, well childishly superficial marketing and embarrasing PR is what US politics is about - 99% presentation, 1% content, whatever the political inclination.

    Best regards - HS

LOL- Either source would work when it comes to silly rumor !

Well heathen, it just goes to show that what you "hear" might not be factual as the statistics on that have proven.

Sorry, I thought the joke had a point.

I guess. I dunno. Depends on where you find your information. If you listen to Rush Limbuagh all day, you'll hear one side (and one side only), If you listen to NPR or Air America, you'll hear the other side.

Personally, I like reading the paper.

Anyway, my point was that IMO the democrats are scrabbling to "be like George."
