  TR---I might have seem a pedophile today myself,
  wouldn't have known though. So you asked in the beginning what should we do. You know I'm against the
  death penalty . Now if I have held back my own anger
  and not killed the man myself. The man after doing
  his time should be tatooed as follows. On his forehead
  "Beware I'm harmful to children" on his cheeks a girl
  on one side a boy on the other waving there little finger
  and saying "bad man very bad man". Then everyone
  will know that they too saw a pedophile today.

  WHERE IS YOUR PROOF TR?! Better not ef his life up like he ALLEDGEDLY efed up his ALLEDGED victims. Who the hell wants to be held responsible for that! (NOT a question) How about me!! I'll take that risk. But if proof is what you need to land this guy because YOU ARE POSITIVE he is guilty, then GET IT! Chances are, HE IS STILL DOING IT! So, you tell me, WHO IS REALLY AT RISK HERE?

  What proof would you like me to provide? A stained blue dress? A video tape, maybe? The best that I could do would be to dig up the victims that I know of. Which might be a problem. Look, I really don't care if there is any proof or not. I know what this sick bastard did. But, BUT, I know that I have to follow the law. That's why I want to find out if this guy is a registered sex offender. If he's not, then I have some work to do. That's what this whole thing is about.

  I appreciate your careful "ALLEDGING" wording, because you don't have first hand knowledge, but I DO! I am an R.C.H. away from naming him right now. Let me ponder this for a while.

  As it stands though, you haven't the right to be the judge, jury, and executioner of even this chicken poop pedophile that you seem to have personal knowledge of. So, you need to get that clean out of your mind, unless you want to pursue it by LEGAL means.

  I can imagine your shock when you saw this man. I know I would have done the same as you, maybe more...it is hard to say. This type of situation is rare. As a child it is hard to stand up to an adult, but when you are an adult, the rules change. You have children of your own, you would value information on a known pedophile in your area. If you possess this knowledge, it would be a shame to keep it to yourself.

  Fortunately I live in a state that does have internet access to known sex offenders. As Waiting said, I was quite shocked to find a friend of my Aunt's. He "was" a regular at her home a few days a week, often eating with the family, and even babysat a time or two. He told my aunt that he was arrested for a DWI, and excuse for the year he was missing, due to a sexual offense against a child. She believed him, why should she not? He did his deed in another county and if not for the internet and the sex offender reporting laws, we may never have known.

  There was also another man who works in a convience store, all of the young girls called him Daddy, and he was very friendly with them. He was always kind and frequently seen giving them hugs and having private convos with them. This man raped a girl in Tennessee last year. Noone here knew of this until I saw it on the internet. Tom, made a few copies, and took it down to where he worked, let me tell you, everyone was shocked! But, they are now aware, and can defend themselves. This man threatened to sue us for slander and defamation(sp?) of character. He cannot, the law that supports the sex offenders listing, will not allow him too. We as citzens have a right to warn others of known sex offenders.

  I will tell you this, most of the offenders on the site, did not commit the crimes in the counties they lived in. I don't know if they moved after or just traveled so their neighbors would not be aware. I know the man I personally knew has lived in his home for over 10 years, but the crime took place about 5 hours away.

  I thought of what you should do if he is not listed. This would also be a tough one. You know what this man did, so much so that his face was ingrained in your head years later. But will the law protect you? He may be able to sue you, and this will negatively affect your family. I just hope he is on there, then you can plaster his pic on every light post and telephone pole in a 3 mile area I probably would even take out an ad, if I knew him from my childhood.

  I wish you the best TR, I know this is a tough thing to have to deal with. As far as Friday coming in and stealing the show, he is a nincumpoop, you don't have to explain your actions to anyone. I got the gist of it from the first post. And I wish you would put your smiling face back up, even though the dog is a cutie Best of luck!

  Just wanted you to know that I have been following this thread with interest and I have to stand up and be counted as one who also has had murderous thoughts towards child abusers...and remember folks, there is more than one way to abuse a child...

  Hi Mommy, I appreciate your thoughts. It seems that Spokane is one of the counties in Wa. state that doesn't have internet access to records. DAMN! I'll have to call the Sheriff's department, which I will do today. I'll let everyone know by tomorrow what I find out.

  It scares me in a way, too. There are dummies around that are quick to flash their weapon. There are laws against that. However, if carrying a weapon was outlawed, only outlaws would have guns and THAT scares me even more.
