**They talk about oral sex in the wt? ?

Yes. They usually couch the words to sound more scholarly (and not quite as insulting) but they most certainly DO.

    **Why? ?

Two reasons. 1) they want to have control over everything in your life, and 2) because the WTS lawgivers can't have anyone doing anything *they* can't do.

**What business is it of theres? ?

Absolutely NONE! But they get away with it because they *are* who they are.

**and what is wrong with it ? ?

Beats me. I never figured out a reasonable or plausible explanation to that. (neither did my nonJW hubby)

**is it unbiblical or something? ?

Isn't EVERYTHING????? ('cept of course preaching until you're blind)

** cant say ive come across that scripture!

Can't say that you ever will........

    hugs,

    Annie

edited to add: Dontcha wonder how they arrived at the discussion that prompted this? Which one of the Old Farts decided this and why?

Sorry, I know this thread aint bout oral sex but.. Something else is: They dont know where they stand on the matter. Oh they dont like oral sex, its a df offense but they have not said anything about it in the context of marrige since 1983.

They know if they print an article on it again our numbers will drop like a rock. :)

Damn prudish codgers, they cant even give a valid reason from the bible on this one.

IPsec ........wt quote........'Even though a believing mate may be distressed by the situation'.......

    LOL

Do you know anyone, anywhere, from any time in your life, who has actually been 'distressed' by oral sex.

'stop it, stop it, your making me really distressed now' YEAH RIGHT!

Ummm, Mark Anthony. Did you have any other questions about the Jehovah's Witnesses BESIDES oral sex? From your brief message I got the impression you are ready to explore the spiritual side of your life, and an obviously religious co-worker seemed an easy starting point.

Commitment to the JW's make the catholic life look like a cake-walk. I would suggest you start your search with a main-stream religion instead, or some private reading of the bible, starting in the New Testament.

welcome to the forum, mark anthony

Jehovahs witnesses will ask you to give up every friend and family member who is not a JW and has no plans to convert. The JW teachings will dictate to you what you can and cannot do; even in your marriage.

They will tell you how to educate your children; and will ask that you deny them a college education ( they will not admit to this but from experience ; myself and everyone on this forum will attest to it). And they will do all this in the name of god.

They want to control your life.

If this is agreeable to you; you will qualify to be a member of their faith.

My advice is to not get involved with them. Good luck, Frank

    Holly,

I was raised a JW; I regular pioneered for 4 years after High school. The generation I was raised with as a JW was continually discouraged from higher education. College was considered the course for worldly people. Theocratic young people were encouraged to show their devotion to jehovah by pioneering ; going to bethel; gilead or serving where the need was great. After all, the end was SO CLOSE. ( I was around for all the 1975 hoopla)

College was not ecouraged AT ALL. . If you showed any interest in higher education you were considered spiritually weak and in "need of encouragement".

I left full time pioneering in 1977 to attend college full time to study architecture. My elder dad was a college educated engineer and encouraged me to pursue the education. Needless to say it caused an uproar in the congregation; and ultimately led to my fading out..

I cannot imagine that their thinking has changed concerning higher education or college.

    IP_Sec,

Thanks for reminding me of Galatians, these are some of my favorite passages, I?ll explain.

This one I love, as a European I still have the excess skin unlike most of my American cousins. Its good to remind them of their extra obligations:

2 See! I, Paul, am telling YOU that if YOU become circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to YOU . 3 Moreover, I bear witness again to every man getting circumcised that he is under obligation to perform the whole Law.

This ones pretty obvious, any rules should be thrown out. Ever thought how a masochist could use this?!?!

14 For the entire Law stands fulfilled in one saying, namely: ?You must love your neighbor as yourself.?

And this one is for the Jdubs.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU , the same way as I did forewarn YOU , that those who practice such things will not inherit God?s kingdom

    Steve.
