Is pantheism a form of omnipresence?

I think I'll stick with Paul on this one

    Rom 1:21

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man

A very god example is the anthropomorphic bible god.

worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator,

I don't worship. Christians, on the other hand worship the manmade bible images, which have been passed down by other men.

So you think I worship the book. I worship the God of the Book.

A very god example is the anthropomorphic bible god.

I hope you mean Jesus the Christ.

This reminds me of the tale of the conquistadors who slayed the natives they met in the Americas, for their sun worship (tolerant bunch, those European Spanish).
What they failed to realise was that the natives were worshipping "the god behind the sun", each morning.

And so the essential difference between omnipresence and pantheism starts to emerge...

So, are you saying Paul is intolerant?

    DD:
    Definitely.

Are you saying he was tolerant?

(and can you apply that to the current thread?)

I think Paul would love to lead anyone away from worshipping the creation rather than the One (Christ) having created.

So if everyone believes in the tooth fairy, it really exists? NOT! Although I can tell you of the Mayans, when they met the Conquistadores they were more than willing to include Christianity into their belief system, because they could see the god of the Spaniards had great power..unfortunately for them the Spanish god was really a greedy bastard and didn't spread the love...just small pox..

    Sincerely,

You'll have to run that one by me again. You didn't reply as directly as I did, and I fail to see how that bears on the thread...

Valis:Now you just sound bitter. Have you had the pox?
Further, did they spread it using a pantheistic or omnipresent model?
