It might be fun to bring a friend with you and have him mention to the brother that will make the announcement, "Just FYI, I represent Ms. [your name]. If you or any member of your organization mention her name from the podium tonight, I will file suit against that member for public defamation."

But the "you said if I slept with you, you wouldn't DF!" takes the cake!

My Sis told me I should hurry up and write a Letter for DA Befor I get DF"d!!!! That way I can still feel like I got them before they got me. LOL

I went mainly to boost my ego. No one really saw it coming even though I had been removed as a servant a few months before. When it was announced, the sister behind me literally gasped. A couple of young pioneer sisters that I was friends with had to go to the back because they were crying so hard. And one of the elders' wives (he was on my committee) and their daughter wnet home because she souldn't stop crying.

And I really was intent on going back at the point. SO I thought I would get off on the right foor by showing repentance from the get-go.

I was df'd when I was 18, and had planned on staying in the truth. So I sat there when they annonced it also. I must have been 30 shades of red. Especially when people were turning around to look at me. That was probably one of the worst things I had ever been through. Even if I wanted to go back right now, I woulnd put myself through that again.

I have a friend who did this last summer. Me and other friend went with her for support. Right after it was announced we walked down the asile all smiles and left the KH. People are still talking about it and it happened last summer.

Some unrepentant ones show such little respect for theocratic arrangements

No trouble. They always let the person know which service meeting night they plan on announcing it especially if the soon to be DFed one wishes to be there.....unless things have changed.

I really feel slighted now. I told the dub attorney in the Service Dept. in Crooklyn, N.Y. he and the GB were all a bunch of liars and thieves then called two elders later that evening and told them the whole borg was apostate. Two days later they made some kind of annoucement that I had DA'd from the synagogue of Satan Christian congregation without telling me anything.

What a bunch of crap! Did you say anything to them after that?

I didn't really feel the need to since I had already told about 10 or 15 of the dubs in the area the truth about the truth before I called Crooklyn Bethel.

It would be so funny to see the looks of the people in the hall as they heard and saw all the clapping and cheering after a da announcement. They would not have a clue how to respond.
