Were Stories Told About You When You Left The "Truth"?

    I just heard of two:

As we were two "brothers" df'd for "apostasy" at the same time the rumour went that we had been df'd for homosexuality (heard this one from a former "bible study" I visited a few weeks later in a previous congregation, hundreds of miles away from the one I was df'd in).

As I had been a translator in Bethel another rumour went that I had been sneaking apostasy into the French Watchtower (although I was df'd months after leaving Bethel; that one I heard from my father, years later).

But I guess there are a few other stories I won't never hear of.

they have no life so they live vicariously titillating themselves with the thoughts of all the nasty things we all get up to.

    Ain't that the truth!

    Definitly.

My ex told my children and family/congregation members that I had converted to paganism, that I was looking into Wicca, and that I was scamming the government on welfare. LOL

Such a jerk... scared my kids half to death. Didn't give a rats *ss what the others thought...

I think the theory is that we were offended by what someone said or did but no one is sure what it is.

Isn't it ironic that, after all those years in the "truth," your "brothers and sisters," you know, the ones who would lay down their lives for you, can't be bothered to come and find out what's up?

    Oh...platform soles too.

    Englishman.

AH...So that's the real reason they call you SHORTY..

The anointed mother of my best dub friend who rarely had anything bad to say about anyone said I was a "horse's ass" (for "leaving the Truth"). So no, people didn't make any exaggerations or misstatements about me when I left the dubs.

    Farkel

I would never think of you as a 'horses ass"...but if you are one you are sh*ting on the right people.

    POZ.....

Without doubt, especially after running for councilman in the last two elections.

They surely talked about me. Did I care? NO!

In a book I read a great quote: "I stopped trying to impress people who don't impress me!" I have nothing to add.

When I DA'd I had started working for the Police Department so the only story I ever heard was that I was working with the police to make a list of all the local dubs to be used when the big A came to round them all up. LOL Like the Police even care about the dubs unless they break the law....so very paranoid....

um...what was your name again ???? *making a notation in my secret apostobook* LOL

I was accused of, in no particular order: being A Nazi sympathiser, a Satanist, gay, starting my own church, gathering with XJW's and making our own church, going to other churches and giving talks about JW's.

They were based on, in that particular order; me hanging out with some rual guys from northern MN who didn't have any other minority friends, being goth (Which is almost a polar opposite from being a Satanist), wearing some makeup because I'm goth, (When my favorite activity at the time was hanging out at strip clubs) getting ordained at the ULC, apostofeasts (The most religious gathering of the all) and me talking to my then girlfriend's minister at her church.

    I hate the rumor mills.
