The book A Vanished World: The Dinosaurs of Western Canada states that ?all of the 11 major kinds of dinosaurs . . . ceased to exist in the western interior at about the same time.? This, and the fact that human bones have not been found with dinosaur bones, is why most scientists conclude that the Age of Dinosaurs ended before humans came on the scene.
However, it should be noted that there are some who say that dinosaur bones and human bones are not found together because dinosaurs did not live in areas of human habitation. Such differing views demonstrate that the fossil record does not yield its secrets so easily and that no one on earth today really knows all the answers.eyeslice ... thanks for that article. it almost concedes the point that dinos were here first ...
but then it wavers the weak point about the bones not being in the same spot so 'no one on earth' knows. how difficult would it be to connect layers of rock from different areas ... to verify a similarity in the time frame?
if man and dinosaur walked the earth together, one of these creationist guys would be more than happy to shove the proof down the throats of the evolutionists.

The above link shows pictures of human footprints and dinosaur footprints in the same millions of year old rock ... even one print over the other. The site is about 3 hours from my home and I have wanted to go investigate for myself.

Perry ... thanks for that link ....
I went through it and did some other searches, extensively, last night ... and came to the conclusion that's it all BS. And all the links are biased. It's either one extreme, or the other ... evolutionist v. creationist, each with amply expert rhetoric. It made my head hurt. However, I do believe the creationists stretch the truth a lot more .... and are fanatical bordering scary.
Evolution it is.

A true story.
About five years ago we had a visiting speaker. Early thirties, I'd guess 3rd maybe even 4th generation society clone.
He was giving the talk 'Science or the Bible - Which can you Trust?' He was one of those wide-eyed, 'isn't it wonderful how we are so blessed with understanding' type of brothers.So he reaches the thorny issue of the dinosaurs. Gives the usual lines of reasoning, totally ignoring anything that would contradict his outline.
But then, for one brief shining moment, there was a glimmer of a free, independant thought surfacing from the depths of his finely tuned society mind. You have to pity the fellow, you see he was SO sincere. He SO wanted you to believe.He looked up from his notes and this is more or less word for word what he said;
"You know, most scientists say that the dinosaurs died out millions of years ago but as Christians we look to the Bible for a reliable account of what really happened. It's obvious. The dinosaurs all perished in the flood of Noah's day of course!"
And then he moved on with barely a flicker of a response from the audience. I couldn't believe it!
I have actually given several public talks, including that one, and I know for a fact that even the Society would never put such a claim into print.I approached the brother after the meeting, told him how much I enjoyed his talk [shame on me], and asked him where he got his references for the extinction of the dinosaurs by the flood? All he could say was that he remembered reading it in one of the magazines - yeah right!
I couldn't get this out of my head. A couple of weeks later I was having a couple of pints at my local with my brother in law who is one of those rare breeds of elder - a decent man who manages to think for himself. I brought up this Public Talk and the comments that the speaker had made. This was my brother in law's straight response;
"But the dinosaurs DID die out in the flood!"
I give up.

Great story NIC ...
especially the wide-eyed sincere brother part (God I remember them!).
But if the dinos died in the flood ... what about the Plesiosaurs and the other sea-faring dinos? I'd like to see them weddle their way outta that one ....
But then again ...
maybe, over in Loch Ness ...
... naw, couldn't be ....

Wait for page to load fully then roll your mouse over the words beside the picture to see the highlighted prints.Roll mouse here to see highlighted HUMAN footprint
Roll mouse here to see highlighted DINOSAUR footprint Footprint
Taylor,
Either both man and the dinosaurs are millions or years old or the rock is much younger that recorded this dinosaur and human walking together in the pictures above. It makes my head hurt too.
I am planning on going to this site which has hundreds of footprints this summer when the water lever gets lower in the river. I will take my own pictures and post them here.

You guys obviously havent seen the Simpsons episode where Homer keeps going back in time to the dinosaur days. That foot print only have 4 toes, homer has 4 toes. See, proof.
