Annie, or anyone else, can you give me a few links about the wts that I can print out for my family? Something that will prove what they are really up to?
Thanks
Cindy

Holly,
Do you really believe religion is necessary in your life? Not God or Jesus, but any church, kingdom hall, etc.

JWs are a tiny minority of Christians preaching the gospel throughout the World. Unlike some Christians JWs do not preach the Gospel that the Apostles or early Christians preached. Although the Bible says the gospel would be preached to all the world then the end would come, this timing issue was not the actual gospel message. A suggestion. Instead of asking questions, without having time to study the suggested answers, how about investing even half the time already invested in studying with JWs, studying in similar depth the alternative explanations of each doctrine.

Hi Cindy!
Can you be a bit more specific? I'd really like to help-but really don't know where to start!

Good words Adelmaal except you are a bit in err when you say " We have the Bible just as Jesus and his disciples did." Jesus and his disciples did not have a bible. Very few of the good words back in the time of Jesus were in writing, most were word of mouth only. As you know, nothing was actually written about Jesus' time on earth until the end of the 1st century. The first bible, called the vulgate, written in latin, did not come out until late 300, early 400AD.

Opps Silly me - LOL. I guess we actually have it easier than they did then... We have the Bible. Granted, they had God's son and his firsthand accounts. I'm sure that helped
Actually, now that you brought that out I am thinking along the lines that maybe the preaching work was necessary in the 1st century. But why would it be necessary now since we have the Bible to look to for that information? Things that make me go - hmmm... Not that I don't think we need to direct people to God's word.

Holly, If Jehovah's Witnesses are the only true religion fulfilling the message about preaching mentioned in Matt 24:14, then the end is still a long way off! Consider this: Jehovah's Witnesses number in total around 6,000,000 people. There are well over 6 Billion people on earth. That means JW's represent less than one tenth of one percent of the worlds population. Even if every one of the current 6 million people claiming to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses were preaching 10 hours a month, every month, they have not even made a small dent in effectively preaching this gospel "for a witness to all the nations" in a way that would justify the horrible death they predict will befall all who do not heed their message. ( 99.9% of the world) and yet they continue to say the end is "just around the corner"

The Leological One
In the bible at Hebrews 10: 24 we are told not to forsake the gathering of ourselves together. That's pretty hard to do without being organized.
It's probably already been mentioned, but jic, I'd ask what an organization is in this context. Is it people just gathering together with one purpose? Can't that be done by Kiss (rock band) fans anywhere even if they aren't a member of an officially licenesed Kiss club? The body of Christ/the church, IMO, is the sum of all sincere Christians who have accepted Jesus' sacrifice and strive to live by His words and example. Otherwise, what's to constitute the JW organization as being the one true church vs. any other group that calls themselves a church. If we go into details, having things organized a certain way doesn't automatically equate to being such.
here are many organized churches. I'd hope the one true church would show more of Jesus' example of loving others than what my JW has exeperienced as well as probably most others on this board has experienced, and I'd hope the one true church could stand up to the self-scrutiny to the point it doesn't have fear of people looking into its own history and problems. Nothing personal with you here or anything... just with the WT.
