I felt like an idiot. I used to just wish if someone opened the door, they just wouldn't try to argue any doctrine with me, because I didn't know the answers. If I had to waiver from my rehearsed presentation, I was screwed.

YES- and I still feel stupid... Sometimes I wish they would have DFed me so I didnt have to get up every Saturday. The worse part is running into people who you know from your "other" life, the ones who know the real you...

I remember being in constant fear that someone from school would see me, all dubbed out in my polyester special and that big-a$$ bookbag. I would frequently hide my face behind mags while whoever I was at the door with was talking.
I was tortured enough in school, that's all I needed was to have one of my numerous tormentors to catch me doing street work (standing on a corner, with magazines plastered to my chest and a smile on my face).
Memories of field service stimulates my constitution in the morning ... better than coffee and a cigarette.
