I'm really hearing what you're saying, and it's causing a visceral reaction ... a need to put into words ... the thing you are getting at ...

It's almost a feral thing ... a need to have one's tribe, one's family, so to speak ... so it is a matter of rising above this instinctive need to belong ... and finding a new tribe ... a need to survive and yes, thrive, in spite of this huge hole in your spirit that will not be filled until you find your place ... because you have been cast out from the only family you know ...

I know that's not too coherent, it's stream of consciousness writing, but feel free to discuss, pick apart, etc.

Tijkmo, apparently you didn't get to read my opening words to this post. I said, "Like golf, it has boundaries, likewise with my life, but the difference is, I play my game."

I'm going to assume you don't know the first thing about golf because 'if' you had, you would have understood what I meant!

Golf rules are design to save you strokes not penalize you. Am I making myself clear?

Condescending? I have you know, I play by the rules, could it be, you don't?

so lets say you turn up at the golf course and you are not dressed in suitable attire.....according to the rules of that particular club...doesnt matter how good your 'own game' is and how well you stay inside the boundaries and outa the bunkers...and you could plead all you like that you are a rebel and they should accommadate you...and you can throw a hissy fit ......but you aint getting a game

im so confused lately i dont even know what the rules are anymore

interesting that your conclusion when someone offers an alternative viewpoint to yours is that:-

I'm going to assume you don't know the first thing about golf because 'if' you had, you would have understood what I meant!
you know what they say about ones who assume

tijk, yes I did say assume, you either didn't read my opening words to the topic otherwise you would have know there are rules. Isn't your saying, 'so lets' say..." also assuming?

We have a golf club in my home town that you must wear the proper attire, if not, no golf. What's your point?

As living by rules, I was the 'only' person on the amateur circuit that turned in rule violators, why? Cheating, yes its easy to cheat in golf. When you cheat, you cheat the field, and yourself. I've seen golfers qualify for a tournament and not make it because another golfer gave himself a lower score. The # 1 golfer V.J. Singh was caught cheating in his younger days and was suspended for 10 years!

    Do you anything about cheating?

I still maintain that if you had read the opening words to my post, you would have known I play by the 'rules.' I also obey the stop signs.

I'm curious, I had a REALLY good friend named Brian from down east, he would have lived in your area back in the late 70s, early 80s, he loved golf .... nice guy, faithful JW
