"Disable African girl"..... I bet that means that an "at home phone hookup" isn't an option. If it was I'm sure she wouldn't drag herself there. Also, why didn't a "LOVING" brother come pick her up and carry her? Puleeze, what b.s.

*** w87 4/15 p. 23 Proving "Zealous for Fine Works" in Kenya ***
In some areas, great efforts have to be made to attend Christian meetings. A 70-year-old woman regularly walks about six miles (10 km) to get to the weekly meetings. On the way, she wades through one of Kenya?s biggest rivers, even though crocodiles are lurking nearby. At times the current becomes so strong that it almost sweeps her away. Yet, she considers the spiritual feast well worth the effort. What an outstanding example of zeal!

Minimus: Yet, members of the (Governing Body) are cared for by having someone (by their side) to care for their needs.
No mention here of this (governing body member) dragging his (body) to the meetings.
No mentions here of this member of the (governing body) wading through alligator infested waters to get to a meeting.
No mention here of this member of the (governing body) being in (2 car accidents), and suffering from illnesses or physical conditions that (others) suffer from, but (are still required) to be at those meetings!
Watchtower/1988/Sept/15th/page-31/
MARTIN POETZINGER, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah?s Witnesses, finished his earthly course as an anointed Christian in the early evening of Thursday, June 16, 1988. He had been in failing health for some time but died without apparent pain at Brooklyn Bethel. His wife, Gertrud, had been at his side throughout his illness.

What unloving crap. Our church broadcasts its services on the radio so anybody can listen in, including people that wanted to sleep in a little longer. Only a bunch of power hungry thugs would think they have to have this much control.

As a beloved poster said at one time------why couldn't the WTS provide even an old broken-down BUS for folks like this?
It sounds funny, until you realize that with ALLLLL the $$$$$ that the WTS is hauling in, wouldn't you think that they could accommodate the JWs in less fortunate countres?
We still see pictures of grass huts with no facilties or even basic electricity, and how people oooh and ahhh over their "fortitude" and "perseverance" (grand and noble qualities) while those in more affluent lands are held up up ridicule (WTS style) for having "more". Like it's OUR fault that those JWs in Africa have it so rough?
If the WTS knows that these conditions exist (they took the pictures and/or wrote these articles) WHY aren't THEY doing something to ease their burden?
It's all the WTS mindset and readjusting normal thinking abilities and what should be obvious questions.

They are letting Jehovah do things in His due time.
