Why would a Bethlite need private access to the internet if the WTBS already provides it? Do you really think any Bethlite would navigate to porn or apostate sites given the fact that their web surfing could be monitored? As an employer we make all employees sign an agreement of internet usage and that they could be monitored at anytime during the work day. Emails have been ruled upon by the Supreme Court as being ok to snoop on by employer and provider of such services.

    Evil,

If this is true they are cutting thier own throat by being so restrictive. This should make many very suspicious as to why all the ease dropping and lack of privacy. I'm sure that if this is the case many outside bethel know it too as these bethelites complain to family and friends.

Eventually something bad is going to happen. With the amount of lives they have helped destroy, somone will figure out a way to off a couple of them. As long as nobody else gets hurt, I'll find it kinda funny.

The WTBTS does surf jwd to get ideas for 'NEW LIGHT' and to try to identify the moles in the borg.

Years ago, some fruitcake in Canandaigua, NY tried to blow up the hall. Of course, there may have been others!

I knew the C.O. who had to handle it in his circuit.

i was at bethel until 2001 and had personal internet access the entire time. it was dial-up and the only way it could be monitored is if someone checked your computer while you were away. there's absolutely no way that bethel could monitor dial-up access because every single room has a phone line.

    Doog,

Thanks I was waiting for some one who has personal experience in this matter.

What would be your estimates as to % of those that have private access?

pretty much everyone i worked with had a computer in their room. at the time i was there, netzero was still free so i would say the majority of the guys i knew w/ a computer had internet access. i would assume it's lower now since they would have to pay a monthly bill.

for the record, i looked at porn constantly and the home overseer never said anything so i'm pretty sure he never checked my PC (or more likely, EVERYONE'S computer was chock full of porn).

    Let's make this point clear:

It could take only one determined, angry Bethelite to bring the whole Watchtower Society crashing down.

    How so? Easy

Every organization has secrets - confidential material - potential legal violations - liabilities.

You just need one disgruntled person to keep records and secure the right documents.

You Bethel Monitors reading this! Take heed! If you encounter 'sensitive materials', quietly make

copies and store them off site. You may need the "leverage" someday! Material regarding child

sexual abuse cases, the blood transfusion issue, questionable financial dealings or evidence of bribery

is especially valuable. A complete copy of your congregation's judicial files is also good.

One person ----- just one person in the right place, at the right time, with the right access could

bring the whole cult to its knees.

and by the way, that includes brothers on night watchman duty ( I won't tell you how I know!)
