My first husband was an Elder for probably 6 years. I had some reverence for Elders prior to that, but after he was made one I realized they were just plain old people and they didn't merit any fear or special feeling on my part. So most of my time as a JW I had no particular respect for them other than I thought too much was asked of them. I didn't like my then husband being a JW at all.

Watching them squirm when within 25yds of me is an indescribable feeling.
I genuinely feel sorrry for them.
Since daddio is an elder, he is actually quite kind. It's when I am at the house and they visit in herds to go to the loo that I get really upset.
No. I never did. That's probably why I never progressed beyond MS, and only stayed there for a few months...
